INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS & FOREIGN WORKERS PROTEST CHANGES TO IMMIGRATION POLICY "Everybody saw those changes coming, but that's not what we want," said one of the protesters, demanding a reversal of recent immigration policy changes. Given testimonies from some protesters that employers illegally sell LMIAs for $20,000, I asked her... if she had experienced exploitation from employers. She responded, "I faced exploitation from my employer, who didn't pay me even though I was working for way less than minimum wage at the time." When asked if she had experienced exploitation from employers within her own community, the answer was "yes." "I worked as a frontline worker during COVID, doing double shifts, while all the people that [Trudeau] wants to create jobs for were sitting at home, just chilling. I put my life on the line during a time of need for this country. I need him to acknowledge that—and just give us a fair chance for our future." Reflecting on her experience in Canada, she said, "After six years here, I’m unsure if it was worth it. The current situation is making it difficult to live." Exploited by her own community? If employers are illegally selling LMIAs for $20,000 - are the people paying the bribes also comitting a crime? Pakistan is rated 133 out of 180 countries on the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) in 2023 while India was ranked 93 out of 180 countries. Bribery and corruption are widespread and common in both countries. I'm curious. Will bringing in millions of immigrants from countries with high levels of corruption make Canada a more corrupt or less corrupt country? It seems like we have more than enough corruption as it is.

A few years ago Jessi asked me if I would be interested in being her next co-host for the Bardown Beauties Podcast. People have always asked me how that came to be and this is how. I knew of Jessi when I started working with the Wild, and interacted with her initially when I was a guest on the podcast and then she and Alexis were guests on the show I hosted for the Wild at the time. But, the first summer I spent working for DaBeauty League was where I went from knowing Jessi as a professional and got to know Jessi on an incredibly personal level. This was the stuff we did that summer. We talked about life, we had fun, and she signed herself up to get some of her hair shaved off. This is one of the videos I’ve watched over and over these last few days because this is where it really all started and I’m forever grateful for it.

This realtor showed up at a house that she was supposed to show, as far as she knows the house is empty. She walks in and starts to setup for a showing and hears loud noises from within the house, startled, she runs out of the door struggling to get a rational explanation. Working on so many houses throughout the years, this hits close to home for me. I’ve experienced this more than I can count. There was a house that stuck with me, when I was renovating it, I even moved in to make it easier for me. It was a small 2 bedroom home, about 1100 sq ft. One day while working in the attic I felt a tug on my hair. This was when I had long hair and I tied it up in the back. But it felt like a pronounced and intentional tug. Later on I was able to confirm it was a child due to the small stature on the SLS camera. It explained the mischievous nature, of course it was a kid that liked to play pranks. The occupants in that home were never malevolent. Just curious. When asked how many there were on the spirit box, a voice proclaimed there were 7 of them. If you had spirits in your home, would you want to know? I know for the longest time I didn’t want to know, I figured it didn’t matter since I couldn’t see them anyways. Now, every time I enter a new home, I always run a sweep for activity. Not surprisingly most houses have a few occupants already present, they just choose not to be acknowledged.

Malaika came and she contacted me to come on set with my customs Every dress I wore in malaika where mine except the asoebi I was paid 500k for that role,my management wasn’t happy cause I normally collect more from influencing but I told them it was fine,I was just happy to do the job. THE DAY I GAVE A LIFT TO GHOSTS OR WERE THEY ANGELS ? I was travelling to Zimbabwe from Lobatse, Botswana, my first contract had lapsed. When I reached the Zimbabwe border, they wanted to make me pay duty for my Botswana registered car, so I decided to return to Francistown where I met the chief Immigration officer and he agreed to give me a temporary permit that would allow me to re-enter Zimbabwe as a visitor. By the time I reached Bulawayo, it was already dark but I was determined to reach Chivi that night so I hit the road towards Gweru. As I entered Shurugwi, I missed a turn and continued towards some houses. I saw a lady wearing a long overcoat. I stopped and asked her the directions to road that would take me through Boterekwa. She told me that she was a policewoman and she was on her way to Boterekwa as she had received a message that there had been an accident there. She asked me to pass through the police station as she was supposed to pick another policelady to accompany her to the scene. I didn't really care as I was so tired after driving close to 1000 km. She went in and came out with another lady who sat at the back. As we drove towards Boterekwa, the lady said "When we get back to the Police camp there will be a robbery case!" I asked her why, then she said before she met me, she had met another lady who was being followed by a know robber in the area. I asked her why she did not stop the robber but she said she was rushing to attend to the accident. All the while I never looked at her, my mind was just mechanical due to fatigue. She asked if I had ever driven through Boterekwa. I said no. Then she started giving me instructions on how to drive through it. "Just down there is the most dangerous, slow down to 20km/hr. Keep well left." This was around 12 midnight. In the midst of the darkness, she asked me to stop. "This is the scene of the accident, you can drop us here!" I could not see any car nor people. It was just darkness. I remember asking here if they had any guns. How could 2 women disembark in such a dark and scary place like Boterekwa in the midst of the night? She said she would be fine. She proceeded to give me further directions to turn left at the junction to Zvishavane. I hit the road and arrived around 3am. It was only after I was in bed that I started to think deeply about what had happened. The following day I called Shurugwi police station and asked if there had been an accident in Boterekwa, the previous night. Nop! I enquired of the robbery case and they said YES. The policeman on the other end asked me why I was asking those questions and I told him the story. I still wonder if those ladies were ghosts or angels!

And I felt like booking the best hotel for her to sleep in, so I did. That day, she kept looking at the view from the hotel, and I saw her reaction. She said, “Mama has never slept in a hotel like this in my whole life. Mama has been working since the age of 14, performing Chinese opera to provide for the family. I never thought I’d have something like this. Never thought I’d have a beautiful home or get to ride in nice cars.” And it resonated with me, especially since Pa passed away. When Mama says things like that, (it is) true. What I had planned was just one (more) year until Pa and Ma could retire… (but) it was too late. Even if it was just one year or one day, it was too late. Success can wait for tomorrow, (but) if they are not there tomorrow, then it is too late. So, I felt like, “Hey, when can I make her happy?” To be honest, the new house that I built for her, where she can do this and that, is finished. The renovations are all done. The cats have moved in. (She?) has a role as the pillar of the house. So, I feel that the car… I had bought one before, but that time, I had to thank the fans. But this time, it came from (my own) hard work. I want it to be something that makes Mama happy. I know that I bought a car, and she can’t drive it, but I want her to see that I am starting… I want her to see that I have succeeded.

I just saw this VIDEO of the Oyo school children and head teacher being moved out after they were rescued. A few things I saw in the video made me curious and agitated. This woman is being accused of being rude by the worker, to me I think the worker was rude. She’s trying to return something without the packaging and was denied without it. So she went and bought another one and used that packaging to return the old one. She always had the receipt she just didn’t have the package. Either way she’s left with another item she didn’t need or return. I recall when I was at the pizza shop and a customer gave us the wrong address by mistake. She was babysitting and wanted pizza delivered to the customers house instead. I get a call from our driver saying he couldn’t find it, so I call her back and said that the driver couldn’t find the address, it didn’t even exist on gps. She argues with me how the home has been there for over 80 years and that my driver was too stupid to find it. I couldn’t find it on my Apple Maps either and asked her to double check the address. She told us the house number was 869 and it was actually 896. So after that I call my driver and he delivers it. Not even 5 minutes later she calls back complaining her food was cold. I told her it’s cold likely because the driver took a long time trying to find an address that didn’t exist. So once again she gets all belligerent. I refused to remake it or refund it based on her mistake and she claims I just lost a life long customer. Was I wrong for that, would you have remade it? Maybe I would have as a courtesy if she was cool about it but she wasn’t especially since it was her mistake. I usually don’t do anything unless we messed up.

Caller: "Okay. So, I've been with my wife for, we've been together since we were 14, for 14 years. I'm 32, I met her when I was 19, we had a child at 20. And, um, I've always just kind of been a butthead to her, to be honest. I never would have thought that those words could come out of her mouth, and she told me that the way I treat her is, I'm not treating her the right way. And I completely owned it. I mean, I said everything you said is absolutely correct. You know, and I said, 'I don't want my son, our son growing up thinking that this is how you're supposed to treat women.' And, I mean, since that day, I have treated her like an angel. I mean, I've done everything and just constantly telling her I love her, giving her hugs, kisses. Um, but that was a Saturday night, and then Monday night she ended up telling me that she was, um, in communication with a guy she met on TikTok. And she told me she broke it off with him, and I asked her, What was the subjects about?' And she said it was just somebody to talk to about what I'm going through, my mental, you know, health. And she said it was never anything flirtatious or anything like that. She said it was just a stranger that I could talk to, but she said, 'I broke it off with him, and I'm gonna focus on us. And I said, 'I'm all in with you, let's rebuild this.' And we went about two weeks and it was just absolute honeymoon phase. I mean, we were just, never it was great. And then I went through her phone two weeks after that and found that she was on Snapchat with the guy. And I confronted her about it, and she said, 'Okay, well, I didn't think you were really gonna change, and I wanted to keep this friendship with the guy.' And she said, 'I'll break it off with him.' And I'm like, 'Okay, I guess I'll give you a second chance. I'm kind of heartbroken again that you would keep this from me. And then about a week and a half later, which was just yesterday, I went through the call logs on which, I feel bad because I'm constantly digging at all this, but every time I dig, I find something. And I confronted her yesterday that she's been talking to this guy for 30, 40, 50 minutes a day, um, the last week and a half, after she told me a third time that she was breaking it off with him. And I'm just super confused. I don't really know how to handle this. Now she's saying that she's all done talking to him, and I'm like, 'Well, how do I trust you now? You've been lying to me for the past three weeks about this.' So, that's really all I got." John Delony: "So for 14 years... you belittled your wife. She got the clear message she was beneath you. For the longest time 30+ family and friends chipped in to a private company and we could always fly that way. I never really flew commercial too much, only a handful of times. I never liked it. I hate the crowds, I hate waiting for my bags. Some people can be always unruly. The worst for me is when I had to sit by someone who would always give the attendant a hard time, treating them like a personal assistant, barking orders at them and admonishing them for what they consider substandard service. This woman sitting across the aisle from me thought she was at an all inclusive buffet. She would say “excuse me miss” as a way of getting their attention and she always used a fake sugary sweet voice and was acting polite but I could tell it wasn’t authentic, it was a way to demean the workers. She made the poor attendant kept going back and forth and getting her refills even though she was serving somebody else. She would repeatedly ask for snacks and seconds when the meal was served. I have no idea why they complied but they did. Most of us were just sitting there watching and waiting for the attendant to snap, but she was professional the whole time. This was at a time where most people weren’t going to embarrass themselves making a scene because the people who treat them like this are used to the attention, it’s almost as if they are picking a fight intentionally. The rest of the flight was uneventful. This was a long flight to Asia for me, I think the attendant knew if she angered the woman, she would then become even more difficult so she just took it. I would have cut her off a long time before she started taking advantage.

When I was traveling to NC I bought a window seat because I wanted to enjoy the scenery, it was slightly more expensive than a normal seat. When I got boarded, I went to my tow and I looked at my seat and there was a kid sitting there. I was confused because this was the seat I paid for, I had no idea who the kid was and why they were in my seat. A woman came up and handed some snacks to the kid and then sat down at the seat next to the kid and I asked her if they were in the right seat and she said yes. I said the window seat was mine and showed the ticket. She said well her daughter wanted to sit there, I said well if she did you should have paid for it because I did. She asked if I had kids and I said no, and she said well when you do you will appreciate it because things like this will keep them quiet during the flight. Once again I said that’s fine but I paid for this for a reason, you should have planned ahead. I ended up having to get an attendant who made them move, but the woman wasn’t quiet about it she started calling me selfish and what kind of person would take stuff away from a kid. I said the kind of person that paid for the things they feel entitled to. I did end up feeling bad about it later but it wasn’t really my problem, I didn’t want to be emotionally blackmailed because she didn’t want to pay more money for that set. This woman moved seats on her own and was told she would be booted if she didn’t sit in her assigned seat. I’m sure there is a reason behind this, I think I read an article once that said it was due to weight and such. Would you move though? It doesn’t seem like much of a big deal to me.

Then I started singing, and when I heard the guide vocal, it was Sonya’s voice. In fact, she didn’t have to sing the guide for me, but if it’s her voice, it’s easier for me to follow. At that moment, I felt touched and really appreciated that she sang for me. The second moment was when I texted her again on Line, asking why she didn’t go home, telling her to go since it was already late. She replied, ‘No, I will wait.’ And that was it, just one cute little animated sticker, and I started crying. Everyone outside was like, ‘Oh, is Mhee crying because the song is emotional?’ But no, I was crying because Sonya was waiting for me, and I’m grateful to my friend for being there.
