The numbers in this post deserve careful sourcing and definitions before being treated as fact. Terrorism databases classify attacks by perpetrators and ideology, not simply by religion, and the overwhelming majority of Muslims are not terrorists.

Terrorism committed in the name of an extremist interpretation of Islam is a serious threat, and the victims of 9/11 and other attacks should never be forgotten. But blaming Muslims as a whole for the actions of terrorists is neither accurate nor fair.
