Internet Computer is inches from hitting 300 BILLION transactions. According to Chainspect's DFINITY Foundation dashboard the Internet Computer has now processed roughly 299 billion unique transactions in its lifetime. This is more than practically every other L1 and is driven by $ICP's impressive throughput of some 1,338 tx/s, averaged...

Internet Computer Is Very Close to 300 Billion Transactions Internet Computer (DFINITY Foundation) is often praised for its scalability and rightfully so... The protocol has reached 293 billion total transactions, with roughly 7 billion left to reach the 300B mark. With the blockchain processing over 2.5K txs per second, ICP is ahead of most blockchains in scalability. For context, Solana processes 1,285 tx/s and is regarded as one of the fastest Layer 1 chains in the crypto space. In the meantime, 300B total transactions will represent a significant milestone for the platform.

ICP narrows the gap with Solana in onchain activity According to ChainSpect's monthly transaction-volume rankings, Internet Computer Protocol (DFINITY Foundation) has narrowed the gap with Solana over the past 30 days. The two are significantly ahead of all other players. ICP has processed 3.76 billion transactions while Solana has recorded 4.88 billion in transaction volume. Other blockchains like BNB Chain, TRON, Aptos, and others lag far behind. Transaction volume only indicates network activity. The numbers do not reflect any on-chain financial transactions.

ICP Needs More Builders To Compete with Polkadot... Despite leading Polkadot in several metrics, Internet Computer Protocol (DFINITY Foundation) falls way short in terms of builders across its ecosystem. According to Chainspect, ICP has 91.37% fewer developers than Polkadot, with roughly 781 developers compared to Polkadot's 9,056. However, ICP has recorded 350x the revenue of Polkadot, owing to higher transaction volume. For context, ICP has recorded 290B transactions, compared to Polkadot's 45.9 M. This represents the chain's growth, even with Polkadot a year older.

Internet Computer leads most-used blockchains in July Solana and Internet Computer (ICP) (DFINITY Foundation) cement their status as the industry’s high-throughput leaders, processing a record 7.23B combined transactions in July. Solana secures the top position with 4.07B transactions, while ICP follows with 3.16B, highlighting a massive divergence between performance-tier chains and legacy settlement layers. Adoption patterns show a clear preference for speed, with BNB Chain (448M), TRON DAO (363M), and Aptos (352M) maintaining dominance over traditional financial rails. Retail-heavy networks, including Stellar (318M), Base (226M), and Polygon (185M), continue to capture the majority of $USDC and $PYUSD flows, while Ethereum remains the high-value security layer, with 71M transactions for the month.

Internet Computer Just Activated a New Level of Security... DFINITY Foundation officially launches SEV Subnets on the Internet Computer to eliminate plaintext data exposure at the hardware level. This integration uses Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) to ensure sensitive data remains encrypted even when viewed by entities with direct physical access to the server hardware. Engineering Lead Björn Tackmann confirms that this upgrade resolves a fundamental vulnerability in traditional cloud computing, in which data is processed in plaintext within the memory layer.
