Interstate 10 is closed in both directions in downtown LA between Alameda St. & East LA interchange. Caltrans is assessing damage from a fire under I-10 & will reopen I-10 as soon as possible. In the meantime, use other routes! Here’s a peek under the freeway.

California voters need to pass a state constitutional amendment that requires all critical infrastructure (freeways, public streets and sidewalks) MUST at all times be kept clear of any people or debris within one block of that infrastructure, unless a permit has been obtained for First Amendment purposes. And if the leaders violate this state amendment, they go to jail.

I think this section might have to be demolished. I mean even the rebar got exposed from that large fire. Don’t see this freeway opening anytime soon. Then you have the upcoming storm that will also delay repairs. 🚧🏗️

May I ask a serious question @SecretaryPete why do we allow combustible materials to be stored so close to federal highways. After the @PhiladelphiaGov fire that shutdown 95 maybe a rule is in order to avoid these #Democratic mayors from costing us #billions in repairs
