So. I have just a free minute. I want to thank each and every one of you for all assistance over the past couple of days, and also for 50k followers! We continue to be in Asheville, NC doing what we can do for town. We already have a huge dinner planned tomorrow for a local shelter, and for our first responders, none of this would be possible without your help, between donating, liking, retweeting, it all helps. So thank everyone so so so much, trust me, it does not go unnoticed! We are going to be here as long as we can to try and help the good folks of North Carolina. They're going to have a very long road to recovery.

Evacuation update: Our wide-body Boeing 777 with Registration Number 5N-BVE took off from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 15:10hrs today to Egypt to airlift stranded Nigerians consequent upon the ongoing crisis in Sudan. Beyond commercial operations, we're sensitive and responsive to societal issues and will continue to engage in humanitarian interventions as led by our Chairman, Barr. Allen Onyema. We also thank the Federal Government for their role in making this evacuation possible. Let's wish our fellow countrymen a safe flight back to their fatherland.

In the few months that cancer has decided I have left on this planet I am going to post more ‘happy’ posts. Nature is beautiful and deserves to be highlighted as much as possible. I will continue to highlight cruelty issues to raise awareness as and when I think it is necessary. Thank you for your support over the years, it is REALLY appreciated 🙏.

🚗 Another Vehicle Dumped on Our Streets Following the successful removal of the Renault truck, we now have another vehicle that appears to have been dumped, this time at the junction of Coleshill Road and Ventnor Avenue. The vehicle is visibly damaged and has been left in a position that is causing an obstruction close to the junction. While England does not yet have the same widespread pavement parking restrictions seen in London or Scotland, parking that causes an obstruction or creates a danger to other road users is a separate matter. As your local councillor, I will be reporting this vehicle to the local police so that appropriate action can be taken. If you are the owner of this vehicle, I strongly urge you to remove it immediately before enforcement action is considered. Our streets are not a dumping ground for abandoned or damaged vehicles. Thank you to the residents who continue to report these issues to me.

71 Children found in a sewer tunnel... "The Nyack Fire Department, Hatzoloh, and Chaveirim responded after 71 children became stranded in a sewer system while following a creek during a hike. According to Nyack Mayor Joe Rand speaking to Rockland Daily, the group began at Memorial Park and followed a creek that eventually led them into an underground section. The children reportedly continued exploring for roughly a quarter mile, reaching the area near downtown before becoming confused and unable to find their way back. At some point, a person inside a nearby restaurant noticed the children below ground and called 911. Emergency crews responded and were able to safely locate and rescue all of the children without injury. All participants have since been accounted for. RocklandDaily will continue to update this story as more information becomes available."

What about labor?!?! The biggest pushback we get on timber framing is "my labor tho!" Yes, timber framing takes time. Yes, it takes a little more skill than stick framing. (This feels unfair to say because there are some spectacular modern carpenters out there, but. But your basic build quality is fairly low, on average.) However, it is completely possible to slowly build your own timber frame over time in a way that simply isn't possible with a stick frame build that's sitting out in the weather. A friend is about to raise his 12x16 timber frame cabin (it will be used as a workshop) after working nights and weekends for a year+ That time would have passed, anyway. Last I checked, Netflix doesn't pay you to watch it. If you're doing timber framing for yourself on your own time, why worry about the "labor cost?" Each year on December 23, Scott's Law Day is observed throughout the State as a day to honor public safety workers and to remind motorists to slow down, change lanes away from a stationary authorized emergency vehicle, and proceed with due regard to safety and traffic conditions.
