Polish media rushed to interview witnesses who heard drones being shot down after flying into Poland. One of the witnesses directly stated that this whole "attack" is a planned provocation by Ukraine: — I think it was the Ukrainians (who launched the drones). — You think so? — Of course! — The Ukrainians say there was a massive attack on their territory. Well, some of the drones ended up in Poland, but some drones, as Donald Tusk said, came through Belarus. — Everyone says what they want. That's why I don't watch TV, because it's not worth filling your head with the nonsense shown on Polish television. 😂

Maybe I shouldn’t have said them, given that he is still at war. Moreover, he perfectly understands that from Belarus, and especially from me personally, no military actions should be expected.” The Belarusian dictator also named the reasons why he does not want a war with Ukraine: “Belarus (we understand this, which is why we do not want to fight) is very vulnerable militarily if Ukraine starts attacking Belarus the same way it attacks Russia. Because Belarus is like an open book to Ukrainian military forces. We fully understand that our main life-supporting facilities — industrial and logistical — will come under attack. As they stated, they already have 500 such targets planned on Belarusian territory. What is the significance of Belarus for different countries? ◾95% of China's land transit of goods go through Belarus (the land transit comprises 3% of all China's exports). ◾️The China-Belarus "Great Stone" Industrial park is the largest overseas industrial site of China. It was created with personal support and involvement of Lukashenko and Xi Jinping. The original plan was for it to become a gateway for Chinese goods into Europe and Russia. ◾️Lukashenko can also provide information on Russia for China. But back then, support for Belarusians was simply not enough. And now we all feel how much harder, how much more expensive, and how much more dangerous it has become for everyone because of Belarus’s dependence on Moscow – a dependence that is not decreasing. Russian operators of jet-powered “shahed” drones operate against Ukraine from Belarusian territory. Strike communications and guidance are supported from Belarus. Russia uses Belarus as a platform to blackmail Europe and the world with “Oreshnik” weapons. Belarusian industry works for Russia’s war, and Belarusian trade links help Putin buy components needed to build threats against all of us in Europe. That is why Europe must not lose any nation that lives by freedom. That is why Europe must not lose time. That is why every day, all of us in Europe must work for a strong Europe.

Last night, Poland’s airspace was breached 19 times by drones manufactured in Russia. Our assessment is that they did not veer off course but were deliberately targeted. Poland, EU and NATO will not be intimidated and we will continue to stand by the brave people of Ukraine. It’s time for the leadership of Russia to understand that the attempt to rebuild Europe’s last empire is doomed to fail.

Trump has floated moving U.S. troops from Germany to Poland, and Warsaw says it is ready to host additional American forces. I am sure Trump does not even remember the surname of the man he “endorsed” in Poland, but strategically, a stronger U.S. presence in Poland makes sense. Germany remains the logistical backbone of the U.S. military presence in Europe. Poland, however, is NATO’s frontline state on the eastern flank: closer to Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, and politically much more willing to treat defence as an immediate national priority. But there is a difference between moving troops east and weakening the U.S. presence in Europe altogether. The problem is Trump’s method. European security cannot be managed like a personal loyalty contest.
