@SoulProvocateur As a retired HR Exec, NEVER tell me you’re always interviewing. I’m not going through the time & expense of this hiring process just to hire someone who is “always interviewing.” Hiring & training someone is a huge investment of time & money.

@SoulProvocateur Don’t listen to this…. I hire people for a living and these tactics do not work with me. Be honest, passionate, and show personality!

@SoulProvocateur Careful with the finding points of connection. It can come across as stalkerish, and even fake. Alternatively, build points of connection with the company—know their history, what they’re working towards and how you can help get them there.

@SoulProvocateur From experienced on getting coached for interviews by a recruiter who actually wanted me to get the job he gave me the best walkthrough and I appreciate it .. So my advice is if you can get someone to coach listen it's worth it .

@SoulProvocateur I’d like to know what field of work Tubi Joy Reid is in, because following this advice is going to get a lot of people quickly eliminated in the first round of interviewing.

@SoulProvocateur One time… I did all of the above 4 interviews had her so open she even told me about her cancer diagnosis etc, met with the ceo & cfo even had them ki-king and all, got a tour everything— still ghosted me! not saying don’t do the above but sometimes they just don’t give af

@SoulProvocateur Also research & negotiate your damn salary 🙄 This other lady on TT always ask “Is this negotiable?” What they’re offering you isn’t the max even when the HR person says it is… literally know this lady that low balled her self by 40k… not even what the JD had smh 🤦🏾♀️

@SoulProvocateur Yes no shade, even if you have experience or prior work at the same company.. they’re digging deep to see why you left so don’t even mention it.. I always tell them I’m new to the state whether I been there for 6 months or not

@SoulProvocateur I was always told to just be yourself…be Genuine…speak Clearly and Confidently…know about the Company and let the proverbial Chips Fall where they may🤷🏽♂️

@SoulProvocateur I used to be a recruiter… are employers not following up with references or ex employers anymore?! 😅

@SoulProvocateur Can’t say you left for growth opportunities if you’re unemployed or if ya resume doesn’t support it.

@SoulProvocateur This the type of shit that needs to be on only fans

@SoulProvocateur This why love doing interviews. This be the advice people try and use and in the interview. Non of this will ever work on me. 🤣

@SoulProvocateur That’s a fact…let my last interviewer talk about sports for 10 minutes and got the job

@SoulProvocateur You can do all that and they will still look at you and say No ..trust me I definitely know lol 😂

@SoulProvocateur I love the thought of this but my company has VERY strict HR-mandated rules related to discussing personal topics when interviewing. I change the subject immediately and keep it work-related.

@SoulProvocateur Don't follow these tips if you want a job.

@SoulProvocateur She gave really good tips I used to hire and loved when people took the time to research the company and knew about the brand

@SoulProvocateur I'm not doing all this..either you're going to hire me or you can gtf 🤣 I'm too straight forward for these games. I don't feel like faking it and shouldn't have to.

@SoulProvocateur She’s not lying. You’re always interviewing and never jump at the first offer. Allow some time to pass and then negotiate.

@SoulProvocateur I literally just told my new job my last job fired me because they said I had started being late a lot and I still got hired so idk! Some times honesty is key but lie if you have to though 🫠

@SoulProvocateur The bald blonde head, lip piercing & 3feet long nails is just too much to look at! 🥴

@SoulProvocateur Another tip, ALWAYS ask what would they change about the company. ☝🏽 When they ask do you have any ??? If you can’t think of any always think of this one, it forces them to think quick with accountability and makes you 10x a better candidate.

@SoulProvocateur I’ve always used… the company downsized and my role was eliminated, and/or my temporary contract ended, and I’m always open to opportunities

@SoulProvocateur Best tips ever! Also if ur interviewing with a woman make sure u wear something that she will definitely compliment like really cute heels. For a man just appeal to his eye unfortunately. U will be alright

@SoulProvocateur Girl we worked at the same staffing agency? 😂

@SoulProvocateur See I operate like this in every part of my life and my therapist says …. Well you know 😂

@SoulProvocateur I be saying I got laid off 😭😭😭

@SoulProvocateur I’m going the damn thang then. Ha ha!

@SoulProvocateur Saying you’re always interviewing is a terrible tip…

@SoulProvocateur 🍽️

@SoulProvocateur Or the classic,” I’m gonna go off script here”… You’re making them think and companies like that.

@SoulProvocateur I agree with everything she says up to the point of looking up people and manipulating them. Fuck no.

@SoulProvocateur If I get asked that question, I’m no longer interested. Why? Well I’m always approached, I never go looking. So, I’ll hear you out to see if it’s worth my time. This is a 2 way street. I’m a seasoned career professional; and the potential company doesn’t hold all the cards.

@SoulProvocateur lol these are horrible tips. -a recruiter.
