Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have released 19 photos obtained from the Jeffrey Epstein estate showing the convicted sex offender with President Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Steve Bannon, Woody Allen and others. They are among 95,000 images released by the estate to the committee and Democrats said they are "reviewing the full set of photos and will continue to release photos to the public in the days and weeks ahead." Republicans accused the Democratic lawmakers of "cherry-picking" the photos to "create a false narrative" about the president. The release comes one week before a deadline for the Trump administration to release the Epstein files it has in its possession under a new law passed in November. I imported 7 of Jonas’ photos into Agisoft Metashape, where I used its photogrammetric triangulation feature to match key points across the photos. By calculating corresponding points in multiple images, the software determined the camera’s orientation and position in three-dimensional space for each photo. The resulting positions, angles, and distances match what would be expected from a camera on a plane and match the specific details of Jonas’ photos, e.g., zoom, angle, and time between photos. This further proves that the Jonas photos are real, naturally taken photos that have not been manipulated. Their use in the MH370 “satellite” video is extremely strong evidence that the “satellite” video is fake. #MH370x

Excited to announce our new preprint! We developed a method to automatically extract standard 2D views from 3D echocardiography volumes. This method allows for novel approach to echo acquisition: Instead of moving the probe across patients chest in the search of standard views, a sonographer would only have to place the probe in the apical position to capture the whole snapshot of the heart, which is then decomposed into all standard views with the similar quality to the views obtained in the traditional pipeline. That way we benefit from the speed of 3D acquisition while allowing clinicians to preserve their familiar 2D interpretation workflow.
