Over the last few decades, index products have saved people billions in fees & served as a gateway for millions of newcomers to participate in markets. We believe the “just buy the market and hold forever” philosophy applies to cryptoassets too.

AMKT passively tracks the overall movement of 25 crypto assets over time. This means that when you buy AMKT, you are getting exposure to those 25 tokens, all in one.

AMKT's methodology is passive, straightforward, and based solely on eligibility and market capitalization. The index is rebalanced monthly and reconstituted quarterly. The goal in creating AMKT is to track the market as closely as possible, not predict the future.

Exposure to the entire market is now as simple as holding a single token in your wallet or preferred custodian. No more managing trades, tracking multiple wallets, losing out on fees, and staying glued to discord & twitter trying to keep up with market swings.

Community and credible neutrality is at the core of AMKT. As such, the index is governed by the AMKT DAO, constituted of holders of the index and governance stewards, ensuring passive representation of the crypto market to stand the test of time.

Like Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), AMKT is backed 1 to 1 with its constituents. Not partially backed. No obscure DeFi mechanism. The index is backed by the 25 assets it tracks. All reserves are stored with Coinbase Custody, and each AMKT is redeemable for its underlying components.

Security and transparency are essential to the approach in designing AMKT. All smart contracts have been thoroughly audited by @sigp_io and @SecurityOak. AMKT will be integrating with @chainlink's Proof of Reserves, enabling reliable and timely monitoring of assets.
