@bWisconsinb former carpenter here. sistering the joist is fine if done correctly. need to identify if there is any sag in that particular area, and if there is you’ll need to use a jack to raise it up then sister the joist. the beefier you sister it the better

The vast majority of electricity that data centers use gets turned into heat from the computers running. Then they use more electricity and in some cases water to keep the computers cool. My dream is that someone will build a datacenter in the Dells. Why? I'll tell ya. You could could heat the water parks, with the waste heat from the datacenter. The concept has already been proved at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Water parks are already using natural gas boilers for heat now. The indoor pools are obvious for winter. But the outdoor ones would benefit too. You could probably open a month earlier in the spring and stay open a month longer in the fall.

While Im a big fan, I dont understand where you were when the DNR approves every high capacity well in Wisconsin. There are over 3,100 HC wells in central wisconsin pumping 5x more water than all the datacenters in the US. As for power... every Datacenter should be required to have an SMR. Keeper' Movin
