The context remaining feature is clutch. We've been running parallel Claude instances and knowing when you're about to hit the wall saves so much context switching. Installing this today 👀

Initially I made it as a separate panel that used Ink / React But decided it would be better rendered as a status line instead (despite being quite deep into the development) and refactored everything I kept the existing code on another branch if you want to see / use it

"better rendered as a status line" - for the aesthetic needs of the typical claude code user? or for yourself? if the ink/react version is complete, then you should publish, but at the same time: do you feel the 'GUI=sacrilege' attractor?

AFAIK it’s impossible to edit the Claude code terminal window itself to show this info So initially I had a workaround that tried opening a side-panel next to the Claude window. It worked great inside terminals like tmux, but on native terminals it could only open a separate window - which I felt was a bad experience I wanted it to be easy to onboard for all Claude code users, so decided statusline was a better approach. Maybe I can optimize the initial version for tmux specifically and release it

i'm thinking about a shiny React app, which uses the CC CLI stdin/stdou/stderr streams to display everything CC + unlimited extra fluff, including a side panel user could hide with settings to display... have you tried that? would it work?

Inspo from cluade-hud, built my own in Rust (Claude Code carried). Main tweaks: context remaining per turn + show what skills are running (on top of tools/subagents/todos). Life’s getting easier — everyone can be a builder now.
