Roosevelt signed into law the Social Security Act -- a monumental legislative achievement that protects our seniors, uplifts our citizens, and sustains the livelihoods of hardworking Americans who devoted their professions to bettering our country. On the 90th anniversary of the establishment of this historic program, I recommit to always defending Social Security, rewarding the men and women who make our country prosperous, and taking care of our own workers, families, seniors, and citizens first. To this day, Social Security is rooted in a simple promise: those who gave their careers to building our Nation will always have the support, stability, and relief they deserve. Thanks to my Administration's efforts, Social Security now stands stronger and more resilient than ever before. Following the passage of the historic One Big Beautiful Bill last month, the vast majority of seniors who receive Social Security will pay zero tax on their Social Security benefits -- the largest tax break for seniors in the history of our country. To further strengthen Social Security, my Administration is aggressively rooting out all fraud, waste, and abuse that rob our Federal programs of resources -- including stopping payments to the deceased and eliminating benefits for those who do not legally qualify. Now, however, they are doing the exact opposite in the most heinous way possible. Bangla Tribune reported that on December 5th in Sunamganj, at least 23 houses belonging to the Hindu community were vandalized. Out of this, 10 houses are more damaged. In addition, there were attacks on shops. Then a temple in the house was also vandalized. Daily Star reported At least two temples were ransacked, and "many" homes and shops of the Hindu people were vandalized. On Yunus's watch, the regime's supporters, the bigots and Islamic extremists, are chanting slogans (Video attached) to slaughter Hindus without facing any legal consequences.

I thank all our people, all repair crews working around the clock to restore the energy sector after Russian strikes. In every city, in every community, you are restoring light, heating, and water supplies in harsh weather conditions. This is extremely hard work, but it is precisely this kind of effort that strengthens our country’s internal resilience and supports our positions in diplomacy. The situation in the energy system remains difficult, but we are doing everything we can to restore all services as quickly as possible. And last night, over 200 strike drones were launched against us. The Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions came under attack. Dozens of people have been injured, including a child. As of now, two people have been reported killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. This week alone has seen more than 1,300 attack drones, around 1,050 guided aerial bombs and 29 missiles of various types in total. That is why Ukraine still needs more protection – above all, more missiles for air defense systems. If Russia is deliberately dragging out the diplomatic process, the world’s response must be decisive: more assistance for Ukraine and more pressure on the aggressor. I thank all our partners who stand with us now, who are ready to help protect lives and strengthen Ukraine, and to work together to restore security.

I finished my third visit to Ukraine in less than a year. I had a good meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський. We discussed the outcome of yesterday’s meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and took stock of the EU’s support to Ukraine’s military effort in order to ensure a just and lasting peace. Ukraine’s partners have been supporting President Trump's efforts to open peace negotiations and preparing security guarantees to prevent Russian attacks in the future. Yesterday, in Paris, 26 countries plus the EU endorsed the plan designed by our military chiefs to provide strong, concrete security guarantees to Ukraine through air, land, sea and the regeneration of Ukraine's forces. We are ready for the day after. But for that day to come, we must continue to push Putin to the negotiating table. Only more pressure can stop this war. We are ready to do more. We are working with the United States and all like-minded partners on further sanctions, including secondary sanctions. We also discussed our common future - supporting Ukraine's reconstruction and its EU accession path. Ukraine's full membership of the EU is not only the best security guarantee, it is also the most effective path to a better future for Ukrainian people. We are impressed with the reforms that Ukraine has carried out during the war. This work must continue. And you can count on our support.
