codex desktop leverages the p2p altruistic capabilities of @Codex_storage to enable censorship resistant file sharing :) - super lightweight (19mb) - free & open source - allows you to use both a local/remote node - easy to understand without complex lingo [2/4]

after hearing @jarradhope_ ’s emphasis on ‘building software for humans’ and ensuring that we lower the barrier for entry into the @Logos_network as much as we can — i wanted to make Codex nodes escape the terminal window. and this is just the beginning! [4/4]

We’re adding support for WebMCP in the ChatGPT desktop app’s built-in browser and ChatGPT Sites. When you visit a compatible website, ChatGPT or Codex can automatically use it to complete your task. Update to the latest version of the ChatGPT desktop app, then just ask Codex to create a WebMCP-enabled app and deploy it to Sites.

Just open sourced Monocode - a desktop UI for your coding agents. Works with your existing Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode harnesses. Tabs can be sessions, a lightweight editor or a terminal. Currently only supports macOS Apple Silicon. Still very early so expect bugs. Feedback and small PRs are welcome :)

ChatGPT Voice is now available on Desktop in Work and Codex! And your Codex Micro is already fully compatible with it. It's never been easier to talk to your computer, launch and manage Codex tasks, and basically do anything with Codex. A truly feel AGI moment to me.
