Introducing credit scores on 3Jane x Cred Protocol Reputation can now be collateralized to generate higher yield within DeFi, permissionlessly and at scale, starting with undercollateralized promises on LCC

2/ Last month we launched LCC, a new primitive allowing anyone on the internet to promise 13x their staked margin to fund USD3 if capital called, and earn ~20% APY on that margin This enables significant capital efficiency, but adds counterparty risk: a staker can fail to fund

3/ Credit scores have exclusively been used to price whether a borrower will repay a loan, both within the traditional system & DeFi. However they are equally useful in any undercollateralized context, including pricing whether a user will provide capital in the future

4/ A higher cred score on 3Jane can include benefits such as: → Up to 5x higher promise APY → Higher promise leverage → Boosted $JANE emissions Rolling out on 3Jane soon

5/ LCC sits in between overcollateralized lending & uncollateralized lending - failure of funding is a real risk but is not catastrophic for the protocol compared to a borrower defaulting. This allows for a flywheel Funding capital calls → higher cred score → better terms

6/ Scores are powered by @cred_protocol Cred reads an address's public onchain history (lending, repayments, liquidations, LPs, staking, wallet age) and scores it from 300 to 1,000, with a report. All onchain, no KYC

7/ Onchain credit scores have existed for years. All predecessors lacked a DeFi protocol that it can be integrated with in a way that makes sense, is scalable, and lets users earn yield from a higher score

8/ This lays the foundation for reputation as a first-class citizen within the cryptoeconomy, allowing DeFi to rival the capital efficiency of traditional finance whilst staying permissionless

9/ Look up your score, or any address or ENS name, on the LCC page:

@cred_protocol reputation based loans are the next evolution. this is how we scale capital in DeFi

@cred_protocol just voted!

@cred_protocol When a credit score lives onchain, the account itself becomes the collateral. Spend caps and session policies then work as underwriting rails, so the score can borrow without a human in the loop.
