Introducing Design System Agents. Turn your repos, npm packages and docs into an agent that builds prototypes engineering can actually ship. The Prototype is t̶h̶r̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶a̶w̶a̶y̶ the Product.

Vibe-coded prototypes get thrown away because they don’t use your design system code. Bolt’s Design System Agents fix this: - Upload your npm package, @storybookjs, repo, etc - Bolt builds using your design system - Engineering wires up the backend and ships

We've pre-loaded some powerful examples so you can see it in action today: - AWS (Cloudscape) - Washington Post (WPDS) - Porsche - Material UI - ShadCN - Chakra UI Have access to your design system code & docs? You can upload them to Bolt right now in a few easy steps.

Bolt’s Design System Agents make your UI components, design tokens, and code standards accessible to everyone on your team. Every output uses the same visual language and production UI components your engineers already work with. It changes the game for product & engineering: PMs and designers build working UI flows in minutes. Engineers pull Bolt created prototypes directly into their coding agent of choice, review, wire up the backend, and ship it. Some AI tools market themselves as a clever workaround to engineering, creating a tidal wave of shadow IT. We took a different approach: When your team builds in Bolt, they’re building with engineering, not around them.

Is your prototype the product? It can be. Get started with Design System Agents today. - If you’d like help getting set up, comment "let’s upload ours" below and we'll DM you! -

so sooo good 🔥🤌

absolute game changer for digital product teams LETS GOOOOO 💪🏻

Lets fucking go! So happy to finally see this out of the door 😍

everyone needs to be design sytems maxxingggg

thought this was a lovable ad before I saw who posted it

Let's gooo!

This changes everything. 🔥

LFG!

Still can't wrap my head around how good this works 🔥 LFG

now that you are stating the prototype is the product, can we get a lock feature for builds we have live, so we never worry about accidentally deleting the live build and also some security that some form of backup is running that can be restored, like snapshots of live builds.

Great idea 💡

Fireeeee 🚀

go go go!!

🚀 🚀 🚀

Just tried it and it not only works - but works flawlessly. I mean, just look at these fonts

Once Upon a Design 🎬

I have 1 SaaS, 1 booking service and 3 websites running on bolt at the moment. I believe I will run 10x more the next 12 months.

Keep on buildin'! 🚀

the gap between design and dev just vanished.

This makes a HUGE difference. Been playing around with this for a couple of weeks and the results are 🔥

this is the shift I've been waiting for. design systems were always supposed to be the contract between design and engineering, but the prototype-to-production gap broke that contract every time. if agents can read your tokens, component APIs, and object relationships, the throwaway prototype actually dies.

🙌 🙌 🙌

building with engineering, not around them" - finally someone gets it. the shadow IT problem with vibe-coded prototypes was getting out of hand

@elmd_ This is the biggest thesis in my conversation with Alexander Berger on TwoSetAI Congratulations! Eric!

Great

Really great update

We think so too 😝

this is actually huge. the gap between design handoffs and what engineering ships has always been painful closes the loop where prototypes usually just become expensive mockups that sit in figma forever

twitter did you the most funny preview ever

the real test is the legacy design system: 3 years of naming drift, undocumented variants, components nobody touched since the rebrand. agents are only as good as the source of truth you give them

prototype is the product is the right frame. the gap was never design to code, it was that prototypes lived in a different tool than production. agents that output shippable code skip the translation step entirely

🦾get it gs

@0xGhostYield 😏 😏 😏

the design system upload thing is actually smart. most people just recreate components from scratch instead of using what they already have

Hey bolt, please introduce a templates community page where developers can showcase their cool designs with code

Great idea! Working on it! 💪

I love this AI! My website is very busy and opinion generating! This is AI

Love this direction. As agents own more of the stack the question shifts from "does it build?" to "does it build the same thing consistently?" Agent reliability across runs is the next hard problem. #DevTools

Always developing mates
