I think it's a fancy toy to pander to naive people. There *is* interesting work in ML and robotics that is field-specific. Like ML applied to biotech, here in finance, etc. But this robot seems to disregard some tenets of technological adoption. Could work for PR, tho.

Sadly, I have to say this is a bit of hype, as this type of robot is unlikely to actually be of much help on a factory production line, nor can it be called the most advanced AI device.

MIT Sail, Nvidia’s Groot w/ NIMs/Thor platform w/ Perceptor (motion sensors) outperforms OpenAI by simultaneously engaging in natural language conversations & AI natural movements for any human audible task(s) given. Nvidia’s robotic design is closer to Natural Intelligence. :-)
