$1,905 total cost for fall and winter! 18 games total. That's well over $100 per game played. Football is competitive and costs nowhere near this much. I'm sorry this is an outrageous cost for a comp experience.

I won’t even call you “haters.” I want all the Bassett doubters to be unbiased & logical for one minute. Take a step back and just look at the facts. High school wrestler… Tech Falls TWO (!) NCAA All Americans in the same tournament. Bassett has clearly jumped levels since his U20 WTT losses to Stanich. Bo looks like he could win the NCAA - right now‼️🔥

What earns playing time? Especially at the Amateur levels? Being a tough out. It gets you in the lineup … and a team full of tough outs play for, and win, championships! Look at the two teams in the MLB #WorldSeries They grind out at bats against the best arms in the world. Many of them refuse to strike out. It’s a mentality and approach all in one. Refuse to die! Spoil pitches! Raise pitch counts! Frustrate the pitcher and break him down. Make them throw as many high stress pitches as possible! Young players must begin to see the value of putting pressure on the defense…. I feel the pendulum is swinging back around to the value of competitors with two strikes. Even at the Big League level. The hurricane damage in Appalachia is severe. Entire communities are either cut off or unaccounted for. Generosity has meant locals no longer have to fear starvation, but the next step will be rebuilding what was lost. Infrastructure will take time, but everyone is ready to help. Doctors are working out of schools to fill prescriptions and people who just lost their homes are shoveling roads. The situation is extreme but so is the determination. Thank you all for the aid, prayers, and love. Never been more proud of home.

Teachers themselves are calling it academic fraud. Meanwhile, the US already spends more per student than almost any other developed nation and our students are performing near the bottom. For example: - American 15 year olds placed 28th out of 37 countries in math and reading and math scores just hit their lowest levels in 20 years - In some districts, over 50% of middle school students are already three or more grade levels behind, yet they're still being pushed through the system. Students from Evergreen Schools, Enugu, training for the 2027 South East Maths Olympiad in their school’s Speed Maths Champions League. Meet Chimdiebube Onwubiko, first in the video. He’s heading to ROME this July to represent Nigeria against 154 countries. This same school swept 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Junior Category of the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad + won GOLD at the National Maths Competition in Abuja. Our children are brilliant. Give them the platform and they will conquer the world.

I remember talking with the USA Hockey leadership group a few years back when I started as a youth hockey director and I was like “I don’t know if I can do this…” It was stressful as hell and it was hard to enact the kind of things I wanted to do because the youth hockey culture was so backwards on the priorities of development. They told me that I’d be shocked how many good, high level hockey people get into it for a year to give back and then are like - nah I’m good this is not the experience I was looking for. We need to find a way to entice more good hockey people to want to get involved in the youth side of the game. And I think the only way to do it is more community based hockey. Less pressure, more development. More opportunity for the players who get out of the high level of the game to enjoy coming to the rink and not feel like it’s a full time job again. We talked about the importance of more high level hockey people getting involved at the grassroots level on our latest podcast with Nick Robone. Check it out. 🎙️
