WOW! I thought Opus 5 would just be a cheaper Fable. I was dead wrong. This model is absolutely BONKERS. I'm genuinely blown away. Opus 5 built the best Rocket League clone i've ever seen, and it did it while consuming only 27% of my 5x Max sub. Sound on. There's layers to this onion. I'm floored rn. At least for building games and 3D modeling, this has to be the best model in the world by a notable margin. Look at the car. The reflections. The details. Playable game & open source code in the comments.

notes on my reinforcement learning for rocket league side quest so far: i’m in awe that — we live in a time where i can train a reinforcement learning model that is learning to play rocket league and at the same time, test community made rocket league models. where, both processes can run in parallel & locally on my hardware. in the game window — i’m playing against a reinforcement learning ppo model that’s running locally. and in the vscode window — i’m training my own reinforcement learning model (just a dummy example script for now). also, the rocket league botting ecosystem has incredible tooling where you can test out different reinforcement learning ideas against other algorithms + it has great documentation for linux and windows. it’s honestly a beautiful hidden gem of a rabbit hole :)

At Avalon we are building "Real-time creating" - the ability to generate gameplay ready persistent worlds prompted from text. While others are building real-time video world models, Avalon is building real-time world generation inside a fully playable, persistent multiplayer engine. Players can walk through a live world and generate environments, assets, mechanics, and entirely new gameplay modes using natural language. We accomplish this through a combination of 3D model generation, game logic generation based on our proprietary systems, and AI driven world creation. While other players are inside it. Changes persist instantly. State is synchronized in real time. Creation happens inside the world, not outside of it. Describe a biome. Spawn a civilization. Create a survival mode. Build a dungeon crawler. Launch a new game inside the world. Avalon interprets intent and integrates it directly into the live multiplayer environment. This is not a world model predicting video. This is a gameplay engine that understands language. If you can describe it, you can build it. And others can walk into it instantly.

This is a pretty wild model! You can use it to turn an image into a 3D object with texture. The quality is out of this world! I'm not even a designer, and I've been using this nonstop for the last 2 hours. The model is Hunyuan 3D 2.1. It's open source. You'll find model weights, training/inference code, data pipelines, and architecture on their repository. You can even fine-tune it if you want! GitHub Repository: By the way, the model runs on consumer-grade GPUs. You don't need a datacenter for this! I've been using the model from the HuggingFace demo page: To use it, go to the link and upload an image. That's it! Check out the video I recorded for a couple of examples.
