🔹Buildroot Linux running on Arm Cortex A7. 🔹0.5TOPS NPU for hand tracking and YOLO. 🔹300mah battery, 4 hours screen-on time, 8 hours of normal usage.

Getting closer to mass production! Check out our prototyping process here:

Be sure to get that Hermes in there

running claude code from glasses is the most cyberpunk thing i've seen all week. the future is here and it looks ridiculous bro

Thanks man! We're super excited for this future as well! We strongly believe that glasses will become a 4th type of productivity computers in the future, after laptops, desktops, and iPads with keyboards. A backer called this "the year of Linux Facetops" :)

@mindinpanic Did I win the Lucky GiveAway Yet? Aside: Version "Monako Athletica Series"

@mindinpanic 48 hours!

Cute

Pre-Ordered one §±§

Thanks friend! Very happy to have you with us on this adventure!

Yes me too, i definitely see myself as a poweruser of ai agents - looking forward what opportunities your product will open up for me :))

Me: Claude ! Can u see the Eiffel Tower? Claude: Yes, looks like we are in Paris! Me: Good, now build Eiffel Tower Clone for me, make no mistakes!

Lol now we just gotta wait for planetscale 3d printing to become reality!

Congrats on the launch! Send the first one to India!

Thanks for the kind words!

Welcome!!!

1 hour battery life?

hahaha nah, 4 hours of screen on time. Screen goes to sleep in 15 seconds so actual usage can last quite a while. Also, charging is suuuper fast!

Not bad, just remember for those of us that have bad vision, we can't just buy two of everything -- making it fast charge is great, chargable and wearable with maybe an around the neck charger and / or changable battery would be awesome.

Great point! There might actually be an elegant solution, I'll get back to you.

@jasonkneen Same and is shipping available if we order? Especially to Canada

@jasonkneen Yes we do ship to Canada! We just onboarded an optician, will update you as soon as we've ironed out the details.

@Ademola_4life @jasonkneen Hi Candy, Thanks for the update and for adding an optician — that's a great step forward! It would be fantastic if you could also offer prescription (graduated) lenses as an option.

@Ademola_4life @jasonkneen Absolutely — we totally agree. We’ve now found a professional optical vendor who can support both single-vision and progressive multifocal lenses, so Monako Glass will be much more accessible for prescription users. Really appreciate the thoughtful suggestion!

@deveshcodes_ Thanks friend! We also have a really pretty website, please check out

getting rabbit r1 vibes, but I sure as hell hope this is legit

Hey! Check out prototyping video :)

I need these!

@Scobleizer I’ve been saying 2026 is finally the year of Facetop Linux.

@Scobleizer Man... Facetop is such a brilliant concept :) Kudos

Lmao this looks like the rabbit r1 release…

Please check out our prototyping process!

Can somebody compare and post the camera quality between Monako Glass and Meta Ray Ban glasses? I am thinking of buying it, but I don't trust @Meta with privacy. But they got really great camera quality in the glasses.

@Meta Our camera isn't as good as Meta's. Taking pictures isn't our priority, our camera is for hand tracking, which enables use cases like this:

@shubham_shakya_ @Meta That is absolutely nuts lol well done

@shubham_shakya_ @Meta Thanks friend! Check out it is also really well made!

more importantly, can it see people in front of me and display questions they ask?

You can get Claude to vibe code this feature in a hearbeat :) Our onboard Linux is fully open to you and your Agent!

I was ready to hate this… then I realized I could finally close 47 browser tabs and just leave them ON MY FACE instead. Take my money. 🤓 (please ignore the upcoming spike in car crash stats, that's just me code-reviewing at 70mph)

Driving under Influence (of Claude), amirite fam? :D

is it a mono color oled for thinness and cost? also if you bumped the specs to like a jetson nano or raspberry pi compute module you could play videos and do better ar stuff manage more agents etc... Cool concept want higher specs.

It's mostly an MOQ concern, if we can get enough preorders, we can definitely bump the chipset. Color displays need more compute to not stutter, so we'd have to go with a Qualcomm chip. Qualcomm won't work with us unless we can place a big enough order :)

Love the vision. Real question: what's the thermal story? Running a coding agent continuously on something sitting on your face is where most wearable compute dreams quietly die.

It gets warm, but we've designed it so that heat dissipates from the side that doesn't contact skin.

@Teknium - Cant wait to see hermes running on this one :)

@Teknium We love Hermes! Also, please check out our website is super cool :)

@Teknium Great stuff !! Really loved the idea you guys are building on and cant wait to try them someday :)

@Teknium Thank you friend! Happy to share this journey!

Awesome!! now please tell me i can connect to cursor!!??🙏🙏 im working mostly in cursor and been waiting for glasses that can connect there

Yes there's Cursor CLI! We can run anything that works in Terminal :)

Anything! Smells like we got a winner!

Looks awesome really amazing visuals, but could do the same on mobile as well right without looking socially awkward??

Haha yes! But you don't necessarity have to wear them outdoors. This is how we're using Monako, it's magical to have the terminal simultaneously be in the background and in the foreground :)

You guys are the expert, a food for thought may be the camera component with AI access could be decoupled and sold/accessible to any googles or spectacles vendor ... linux in your eyes.

That's actually a really cool idea

I'll be happy to test it and review it here 😎🫡

Working hard to get manufacturing ironed out! Stay tuned!

👀👀

We have a cool website too, please check out

@techhalla I confirm 💯

@techhalla Hahaha thanks friend!

The future is here👍

Working hard at the factory floor next week! :)

Could we use prescription lenses?

Yes we have a patent on this! We're still working with an optician to get the details worked out :)

This is straight-up cyberpunk dreams becoming reality 👓🔥 Running full Linux + Claude Code / agents hands-free while walking around or in the lab? Game changer for builders. Love the Buildroot on Cortex-A7 + onboard NPU setup. Battery life looks solid too. can’t wait to vibe code on the go. When’s the first batch shipping? Keep killing it @candyyueliu & team! 🚀

Thank you so much for the kind words! Next week we're gonna be at the factories working out manufacturing details :) Mass production scheduled for July!

OMG I've been waiting on something like this!

Please check out Our website is really cool :)

This hits different as a builder. Linux in glasses is chef's kiss. What's the biggest surprise you hit going from prototype to this?

Hardest part is a lot of the prototyping has to be done in partnership with factories. Our engineers are used to hand-soldering prototypes, but handmade ones can't fit into small enclosures. So every prototype (PCB, FPC) has to be fabricated by factories and each prototype can take weeks.

incredible

i can run codex from anywhere with VVTerm as well btw

Haha yes, that works too!

Do you have delivery to mainland China?

Yes yes! Our manufacturing is in Shenzhen :)

make sense ><

just look at a problem, and the ai zaps it from reality. fkin brilliant

Hahaha we can dream

Nice is it opensource i want to make it on my own with esp or something or can u bring a dev prototype

Is there an alignment challenge with the glasses? Will there be AR features enabled in the future?

we don't have spatial computing yet. We do have an IMU inside, so it is possible on a small scale.

cool, where are you guys based?

@candyyueliu they are in HK

@kuzeze2 Unpopular opinion: HK is a really good city for hardware startups. Supply chain is right next door in Shenzhen, but you get global reach + world class banking + low taxes.

Super interested about this! Did you consider a ring as a controller?

Yes, we thought about it! For now we are putting our bets on micro gestures :) But you never know, we might give you a ring ;)

Just preordered!

Thanks for the support! We're doing a lucky draw, already enrolled you :D will announce winners in 48 hours!

Omg!!! now i can now work anywhere..

Technology is moving so fast.

Please check out our prototyping video! You can really see how small the components are :)

Yup, was wondering when a competitor would show up. @meta has a window to open source their glasses so anyone can use their agent, otherwise, open source models like this will win

@Meta Linux is an amazing OS for Agents pre-trained to work with Bash :) Also, check out Our website is really cool.
