Introducing MonoMove, Aptos' new execution engine and the biggest scalability upgrade in network history. Moving global markets onchain takes a new standard of speed and safety. MonoMove delivers both, executing the smart contracts behind every onchain market up to 55x faster. Money is moving onchain. Aptos has the engine... show more

Moving global markets onchain takes more than incremental throughput. Order books, collateral checks, price feeds, payouts. These actions run constantly, and they have to hold up when markets move. Behind every action, there is a smart contract executing. @AptosLabs built MonoMove to make that execution faster.

MonoMove upgrades the Move VM and the execution stack around it. Replaying real mainnet @DecibelTrade transactions, execution runs far faster than on the current VM: • Collateral withdrawals: up to 55x • Vault requests: up to 40x • Perp market requests: up to 38x • Order placement: up to 22x

The gains carry through the full path. MonoMove is now being integrated into the Aptos execution engine. Internal benchmarks simulating complex financial workloads such as trades on order books, borrow-lending platforms, and payments show up to 11x higher throughput end-to-end versus the current VM. And this is only the start: no optimizations, no Block-STM yet. The bottleneck has shifted from execution to storage.

Institutions need confidence in the code protecting their assets. MonoMove retains Move's rules governing how assets are created, copied, and transferred, and adds redundant runtime checks to catch bugs in the verifier or VM implementation. Whole classes of bugs are eliminated by design.

Institutional infrastructure has to behave as intended, transaction after transaction. Aptos Labs is using differential testing to compare the new and current engines on the same workloads to catch discrepancies as MonoMove moves toward production readiness. Formal verification of critical components is coming as well.

Feature completeness is expected by the end of 2026, with mainnet rollout planned for 2027 pending a governance vote. Aptos is pushing blockchain forward for the institutions bringing markets onchain. Explore MonoMove, covered by @TheStreet:

We need aptos:native 55x on chart as well too 🫡

55x faster execution isn’t just a benchmark — it’s the infrastructure needed to scale on-chain finance. Capital is already moving on-chain. Now it needs to move faster, safer, and at massive scale. MonoMove is built for exactly that. Aptos isn’t just building the rails. It’s building the engine. 🚀 aptos:native

We’ll keep the charts ready, you guys bring the new records 😎

$1 soon. i can see it. i can literally see it.

Aptos is raising the bar for moving markets onchain.

Majors Moves with MonoMove ⏩

MonoMove.

Move all the markets onchain. ✊

Move’s safety rules staying intact while getting this much faster is the interesting tradeoff here.

The headline 55x comes from replayed Decibel collateral withdrawals. End-to-end sequential throughput rose up to 11x in internal benchmarks, and mainnet rollout waits on a 2027 governance vote.

Money moves on Aptos!

Seems Aptos is Aptos competition at this point

Keeping those guarantees intact at this level is genuinely impressive.

Bullish

W on the tech side. Wish we could see also the W on the usage side to match it, get this lambo out of the garage

@ox_wrld This is exactly the future of Onchain trading

55x faster execution is a serious leap scaling onchain markets needs exactly this kind of performance and reliability.

My gas fees are already getting nervous 🔥

Mainnet 2027 pending governance feels honest. Feature complete by end of year is the number I’m watching.

When does it go live on mainnet?

Okay but how does it hold up under heavy load? Excited to see the real numbers

Speed plus the extra safety checks is the interesting part

Noted. Back to watching the chart like it owes me money

MonoMove🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Aptos really seems to be building for markets at serious scale.

This is a massive milestone for blockchain scalability.

Huge

Money moving onchain needs infrastructure that can keep up with it, Aptos already in position.

This feels like a real step toward onchain finance being normal

55x faster, but latency concerns?

Better execution speed gives developers a lot more room to build

55x faster is great, but how about cross-chain compatibility?

55x is hard to ignore

Huge
