Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance as Howard Hughes in The Aviator would be the single biggest achievement for 99% of actors who have ever walked the face of this planet. For Leo, it’s just one of a long list of Earth-shattering performances. DiCaprio gives mind, body & soul to Hughes. He changes his voice, how he walks, how he moves- everything in order to get closer to Hughes. He holds down nearly every moment of a 3 hour film. For my money, Leo is better in this movie than he is in The Wolf of Wall Street. I’m starting to really, really get excited about the fact that a new Leo-Scorsese film is not far off in the distance.

This might be the best synthetic performance I have got from a video model. We can generate 30-second shots and create near seamless extensions (with a bit of post blending) for far longer sequences, powered by Seedance Enterprise 2.5. I set out to test this out by making the scene below all-in-one shot. I wrote the script, built the character references in Seedream and then broke the script down to two 30 second prompts. The prompts were really detailed with pauses, gestures and emotional shifts and the model delivered on all of them. I was really impressed with the performance and voices which were generated in the model. Previously, AI film scenes had to be composed of short cuts, now we have options on pacing, and nuance... we can let our scenes breathe. All this done with only around 3 rolls per take, we have left the slot machine age of AI video Gen behind and are now in the age of control. Next for me will be testing real actors performance as a reference to drive the generation. Seedance 2.5 API is about to launch on BytePlus , and Lumina will also roll out Seedance 2.5 soon.

Are the biblical gospels anonymous? In one sense, yes. But that doesn’t mean we don’t know who wrote them or can’t trust the attributed titles we now find attached to them. The evidence is 3-fold: 1. We have the fact that whenever a manuscript has an inscription we have unanimity across the board on the text matching the name. For example we never find a manuscript with the text of John’s Gospel but attrited to Mathew, or Matthew’s attributed to Thomas, etc. The idea that the Gospels were circulating anonymously around the Roman empire with no authorial attribution is highly improbable. It means that we have to suppose that for over 100 years there was no official author mentioned and then suddenly all the scribes, at the exact same time, throughout the world, with no trace of disagreement in any manuscripts, all decided to ascribe the same author. And that this happened not just once, but with each one of the four Gospels. And we actually have an example of this type of disagreement with authorship with an actual anonymous New Testament document: Hebrews. Hebrews has a series of manuscripts that ascribe authorship and there is disagreement, not so with the Gospels. 2. Of between 90-100 biographical-type writings we have in all of ancient antiquity only 2 identify themselves formally within the writing:Historia Augusta - Life of Aelius and Lucian’s Passing of Peregrinus. All the rest are “formally anonymous.” Formal anonymity was the norm and rarely if ever compromises our ability to attach the namesake to the text. Not to mention that Caesar, Xenophon, Julius Caesar, Polybius, Josephus, and Lucian, all frequently wrote in the third person, not unlike the Gospel of John. 3. This combined with the patristic evidence: Papias as recorded by Eusebius in Eccelesiastical History, speaks at length about Mark being the author and his connection with the source information to Peter. If we’re going for established credibility why not just link it with Peter directly? Why not just call this Gospel the Gospel of Peter and be done with it? Because even though Peter was the source of the content, Mark was the author, and there is no reason to consistently and without exception ascribe it to Mark unless it was in fact Mark who wrote it. And the earliest mentions of the Gospels all ascribe them these names. Clement of Alexandria names all four Gospels by their traditional authorial names, the Muratorian Fragment, Irenaus, Theophilus of Antioch, all at the end of the 2nd century and all agree on a four-fold Gospel canon that matches in content and named attribution. My honest impressions for The Blood Of Dawnwalker are ready. Bookmark it so you can return to it. 📌 I know you're in a hurry. So here's the TLDR: The game is a strong narrative piece so far. I'd describe it as a mature story with a focus on consequences. The time mechanic is very cool and does not hinder gameplay at all. In fact, it adds a really fun twist to the gameplay and makes you genuinely care about the people around you because your actions directly impact them. The villain is not afraid to be straight-up evil. How refreshing! You're in for a thrilling prologue where you learn the fundamentals of the game and see a reflection of the themes and writing the game has in store for us. Still here? Enjoy the rest of the impressions then: Characters make mistakes, and some are even self-conscious about their personal flaws! So refreshingly well written. I love it when characters are this believable. I really love Anca so far and to find out she was voiced by Nightsong from Baldur's Gate 3 was a great surprise. Brencis is also fantastic. The voice acting is also so well done. Everything was perfect here. Laslea is dreadful with a heavy atmosphere. It reminded me of From Town (From TV Show) because of the normalcy people try to keep to to despite their predicament. It is genuinely horrifying to picture yourself living as cattle for Brencis and his clan. The story so far is easy to follow. The pacing in the prologue was great. The build-up to Brencis was well done and his interest in Coen is fascinating. I think it's funny how he's kind of obsessed with Coen. THANK YOU REBELWOLVES for having a villain who's straight up evi... a HERO. He removed taxes and hard labour, what a legend. All he asked for in return was a pint of blood. The gameplay feels like an evolution of The Witcher 3 formula. The combat, however, is closer to a Kingdom Come game. I personally liked it because it offers a fun system where you can perfect parry and do cool duels with multiple enemies. Vampirism changes it all up and offers unique traversal mechanics on top. Some actions can only be done during daytime whereas some other actions require you to be a vampire. Still talking gameplay here: the time mechanic is fascinating. Not the first time it's been done but for this game specifically, it makes sense and it adds so many stakes to EVERY quest. There was an old lady I wanted to help but I didn't make it in time because I prioritized my mum so she suffered a harsh consequence... That said, only some quests are time sensitive. You can still do a ton of quests that don't advance time. The soundtrack... What can I say here? Rebelwolves cooked. It's a treasure. Visuals are beautiful. The materials, character models and especially the clothing are all made with great attention to detail. And the eyes are so beautiful too. Performance: Unlike what some others are reporting though I had a very smooth gameplay experience with zero stutters. That said, it's an Unreal Engine 5 game so the better your hardware the better your experience so I don't speak for all. Let us know how your experience is with the game so far. Other notes: if you're a Witcher fan, this is a must play for you. Also, Mirto's haircut is funny.

There was an old lady I wanted to help but I didn't make it in time because I prioritized my mum so she suffered a harsh consequence... That said, only some quests are time sensitive. You can still do a ton of quests that don't advance time. The soundtrack... What can I say here? Rebelwolves cooked. It's a treasure. Visuals are beautiful. The materials, character models and especially the clothing are all made with great attention to detail. And the eyes are so beautiful too. Performance: Unlike what some others are reporting though I had a very smooth gameplay experience with zero stutters. That said, it's an Unreal Engine 5 game so the better your hardware the better your experience so I don't speak for all. Let us know how your experience is with the game so far. Other notes: if you're a Witcher fan, this is a must play for you. Also, Mirto's haircut is funny.

Started watching Bluey with my son and get the hype. The “Sleepytime” episode is perfect (and too real). One of the few kid shows can actually enjoy with him…and a streaming juggernaut, per Bloomberg: ▫️Brand valued at $2B ▫️731 million viewing hours in 2023 (2nd most-streamed show after Suits) ▫️29% of all Disney+ TV views in Q4 of 2023 The show was created by Joe Brumm, a veteran TV animator (he worked on “Peppa Pig”). After moving from the UK back to Australia, he made a 1-minute “Bluey” sample in 2015 and showed it to Brisbane-based Ludo Studios. People enjoyed the teaser but didn’t know the intended audience. Brumm had initially considered an R-rated version of Peppa Pig but went with a show targeted at preschoolers (of note: the real Peppa Pig sold for $4B to Hasbro in 2019). With the kid's focus, Ludo convinced the country’s national broadcaster (Australian Broadcasting Corporation aka ABC) to give Brumm $13k for a 5-minute episode. Brumm delivered with the Heeler family, who are 4 cattle dogs living in Brisbane: title character Bluey (7-years old), her sister Bingo (5-years old) as well as Chilli (mom) and Bandit (dad). Material for the show was borrowed from Brumm’s own life as a father of two girls. ABC liked the episode and greenlit $5m+ for a first season.
