do people on x not know about activity monitor and storage app on mac

i guess you haven’t used those inbuilt app much

Suddenly everyone started making the same app but the UI/UX of this app is so fine 🫡

thanks man

😭next weekend banana tha

tum bhi bana rahe the kya😂

Yeah bro, but I spent the weekend building something totally else. So I thought next weekend ya uske next I will try, but very cool, I will check out and contribute if needed if it is open source.

ohhh got it its not open source.. but feel free to share your thoughts

Okay

🔥🔥

Thankx bro

slick!!!

having live resource graphs sounds super helpful for diagnosing issues in real time

looks clean

thanks broo

God speed building mode!!

hahah..thanks broo 🫡

Everyone just started building this, after I posted the idea! try: This is how it all started ⬇️

Not open source? How is it different from MacMom?

@grok Are there any similar OSS?

I love the app icl Great work

thanks vedant

Pulse looks a a lot like Vitals

hey, which tech stack do you use to build the mac apps? also the interface looks super premium, is it on swift ui ?

yes on swift ui

nice app saurabh 👌🏻

thanks krishna

What's the difference with Activity Monitor? (aside of paying for something that comes completely free with every Mac)

@attacomsian

Just a few more apps before completely switching to saurabhstack

😂😂 tell me… i will build those too

is it only a dashboard or also an optimizer

it’s a monitor not an automatic optimizer....pulse helps you find what’s slowing your mac down and you can quit resource-heavy apps directly from it

another launch 🚀 does Pulse flag the sneaky background stuff too?

yep! pulse shows background processes and their resource usage too, so you can spot what’s quietly eating your cpu or memory 👀

how do you sample per-app activity without Pulse showing up in its own graphs? every monitor i've tried ends up in its own top 5 after a day

pulse samples every 2s while visible and slows to every 10s in the background to reduce overhead. it doesn’t hide its own usage from the graphs

does it have cli?

noo… but can add it

what did you use for payment?

@dodopayments

Does it catch those sneaky menu bar apps?

yep, if they’re running a background process, pulse can show their cpu and memory usage too

That’s a solid feature-being able to catch those sneaky background processes is a game changer for cleaning up space and speeding things up.

Keeping the history on the Mac instead of a server is a nice touch for a system monitor. Does Pulse also live in the menu bar, or is it a full-window app only?

yess… you can access from menu bar also

finally an app that'll confirm my Mac is slow because of me, not the hardware

I don’t care how you wrote the app but the website is written by an AI and it shows
