Rap, hip hop, and R&B copyright terminations will be one of the largest transfers of wealth to Black and brown people in the history of the music business. Yet nobody in Black media is talking about it. None of these podcasts, none of these radio shows that profit off the music every day are telling artists to hire an attorney, terminate your publishing, and take it back. This is exactly what I mean when I say Black media doesn’t inform us, it just repeats gossip. Not one conversation about Black artists reclaiming their copyrights and publishing to put money back into their own pockets. That silence is costing our community billions. If Black media won’t say it, then I will, find an attorney, file your terminations, and take your publishing back! And I’ll even do you one better. I bet none of those Black media sites will even post this video to let artists know that they can terminate their publishing. And it will literally prove how Black media does not inform.
