you reduced the effective cashback rate from 3% to 1%. it used to take $2,800 in spend to cover the fee, now it’s $8,400. why do we have to put in extra effort just to get the rate you originally promised? if you don’t refund the card fee this isn’t any different from a scam.

i shouldn’t have to “earn” the 3% cashback. it was already a core feature of the product you sold.

Massive disappointment. From 3% down to 1%. It was good while it lasted

This feels like a rugpull for those that recently paid $120 for a metal card promising 3% cashback. It's now 1% and even less if using non USD when you factor fees.

Profilbild von gianluca
gianlucavor 4 Monaten

I guess is not sustainable on the long run to offer 3% flat to everyone, but this feels like a huge downgrade. Still the best self-custody crypto card out there.

It should 3% for people who already paid for metal card. I don't want to invite more friends so I choose Ready but now you're forced old user to invite same as other card very disappointed

Totally rubbish. Referring friends can only last one month boost, also 3% down to 1% is a high joke. How can you say it’s an evolution. It’s like back to the Stone Age.

So I get 1% on points I cannot redeem instead of the 3% cashback I paid for less than a month ago?

It's time to migrate to EtherFi that still has actual 3% cashback. No reason to ever use Ready again after this rug pull on their metal users.

You reduced the cashback from 3% to basically ~1% with more complexity and call it an upgrade?

10% > 3% > now 1%, even for users who already paid annually is not fair. Existing paid users should’ve been locked into the original terms. Ready used to be tier 1 for me. Not anymore.

The new update can be characterized as a textbook example of a “devaluation” disguised as a loyalty program. By shifting to a points-based system, the rewards associated with the Metal card have effectively been reduced by 66%. Breakdown of the adjustment: Mathematics: 3 points are earned per $1 spent, while 300 points are required to redeem $1. This results in a reward value of exactly 1% ($3/300$). Verdict: What was previously a competitive 3% cashback rate has been quietly reduced to a modest 1%. By inflating the number of points required for redemption, the perception of increased earnings has been maintained, while the actual purchasing power of the rewards has been significantly reduced. This represents a substantial downgrade for metal cardholders.

return 3% cashback. It took me a long time to choose which card to start using. there are a lot of them now, in my analysis, Ready was the best just because of the 3%. I am now starting to search for a new card so that when my plan is completed, I will no longer use Ready.

Although I’m still pretty upset that Ready doesn’t support Apple Pay, I can understand this change. Compared with other Visa crypto cards, Ready already has no 1% FX fee. A 3% cashback rate obviously can’t last forever, but Ready is making an effort to keep cashback at 3%. This mechanism should help Ready become more sustainable in the long run.

Profilbild von Ready

Since you have canceled the 3% cash back, you should refund the last part of the annual fee we paid, otherwise I will contact all the victims to find the relevant local departments to complain about your fraud!
