repogrep initially started as a internal tool (for learning Effect) we found it super useful for: - understanding frameworks with bad/no docs - reverse engineering React - exploring our own codebases

how is repogrep so fast? tl;dr: we optimized the whole process: git cloning, tool call latency, model (Cerebras). it's also a really balanced intelligence search happy holiday hacking :)

Looks great! For a moment I panicked. I built something similar early on (repogrep, now repobase 😅). Same idea, different focus: local-first for coding agents, private repos, fully local indexing and embeddings. Funny that effect was what sparked it for me too.
