When you are you going to introduce a skill that fixes Perplexity Computer’s credit burn rate? None of the features you keep shipping are relevant while your product still costs a few hundred dollars each day per individual user.

Computer being controlled remotely through a phone. That would be really powerful. Is that possible?

Good direction. Do skills support versioning and rollback yet, or does each update overwrite behavior immediately?

Muscle memory for AI. Teach it once, never explain again

I had to cancel my perplexity max. Mine went rogue and destroyed a project I was working on. Not going to use this again. My trust is completely broken.

Perplexity Computer's Skills feature offers tremendous potential for automation at scale. The seven challenges outlined are not edge cases; they are inevitable at scale. Organizations that implement the recommended mitigation strategies will gain: • Reliable, reproducible automation (no silent failures) • Transparent cost management (no bill surprises) • Secure skill execution (no data leakage) • Scalable skill libraries (no duplicate explosion) • Confident skill adoption (discovery + confidence) • Operational visibility (monitoring + alerting) The investment in operational rigor upfront will pay dividends as your skill ecosystem grows.

reusable skills that apply automatically is the difference between a tool you use and a system that works for you. huge update.

Once the system starts remembering and reusing workflows, the interface slowly shifts from prompting to programming behavior

Computer remembers forever is the three words that make $200/month make sense.

Computer really said human memory is the bottleneck and we fixed it. the audacity of shipping permanent memory like it's a minor update

Perplexity Computer Not a Good experience at all. It took 6 hours and almost 6000 tokens to build dashboard which was relatively simple. Git integration didn’t work. It already said sorry so many times in a day 😬 Think before you guys burn $200 for a subscription.

Perplexity Computer's Skills feature represents a transformative advancement in AI automation, enabling the conversion of ad-hoc prompts into enduring, self-triggering workflows that systematically address repetitive white-collar responsibilities. By codifying bespoke instructions—such as standardized financial reporting with precise KPIs, charts, and branding, or end-to-end market research pipelines—Skills empower the agent to identify applicable tasks and execute complex, multi-stage processes autonomously across extended sessions or even months. This “teach once, remember forever” architecture is poised to subsume a substantial share of routine knowledge work, delivering documented productivity gains of 2–5× while reorienting professional roles from manual execution toward high-level orchestration and oversight. Nevertheless, Skills will not curtail aggregate compute consumption; on the contrary, they are engineered to amplify it through an efficiency paradox. While reusable playbooks yield modest per-task efficiencies by eliminating redundant context and instruction overhead, the primary outcome is explosive growth in workflow volume and duration—users initiate far more automations, sustain longer-running operations involving multiple models and 400+ app integrations, and deploy them at scale. Organizations should therefore anticipate elevated credit expenditure and implement usage caps, yet the net ROI remains compelling wherever professional time commands a premium over incremental compute costs. In summary — Perplexity Computer and Skills is advancing an agentic loop model that enables AI systems to operate with greater autonomy and efficiency. This approach minimizes user friction and addresses the memory bottleneck by extending task continuity from a few hours to several weeks, allowing AI agents to manage complex, long-duration workflows seamlessly.
