Introducing Tabs OpenCode Desktop is now built around tabs. Start a new session in a tab, or open an existing session from any of your projects. Open a new tab when you're starting something new, and close it when you're done. Download the latest to get started.

The new design does not support Worktrees yet, it's coming soon. So if you'd prefer to continue using the previous layout, you can switch to it in Settings for a limited time.

A solid UX evolution tabs make developer workflow much smoother for juggling multiple sessions without losing context. Not a game changer, but a good quality of life improvement that reduces friction. #DevTools #UXDesign #Coding #Cybernorse

Good, can you fix annoying announcement card reappearing after I close it and refresh the page? When I close it, I want it gone even after refresh.

OpenCode desktop is so awful, the CLI clears and it's not even close

I tested it, and the result was very good. The problem arises when there are multiple tabs at the top; it might be worth considering implementing tab grouping to organize them, for example.

And what about YOLO mode? Sorry, that is what is missing (at least it was like three weeks ago when I last checked), not Tabs.

this ui shift is actually a workflow shift. if each tab is a session do agents eventually hand off intermediate outputs between them

Hey @opencode You had a winning product in Opencode Desktop. Just fix all the bugs. The new tabs UI "feature" is an unnecessary regression. The existing UI flows from left to right in an intuitive way. Tabs just adds chaos when working on multiple sessions in multiple projects
