The wave of consumer AI is some of the most magical tech we've tinkered with in some time. LLMs have made massive leaps in knowledge generation. With Threads being where teams communicate daily, we couldn't resist dreaming about the ways work will change moving forward.

For it to reach its potential, we knew it had to be so much more than putting a GPT endpoint in our various text boxes. We wanted to have the AI stitched into the fabric of @threads (🥁).

After thinking through some new design paradigms, weeks of prompt writing, and working with early testers—we’re excited to share the first 4 T(ai)lor-enabled behaviors already being rolled out to active members on Threads.

1) Gone are the days of taking hours to document This was our first a-ha moment. In the example below, we went to our oncall chat stream, highlighted a flurry of messages, and asked Tailor to create its own post-mortem template and fill it out using the messages.

2) Don't waste time reading when you can skim Not all details are important for you to read; many long discussions are purely informational. Tailor will proactively trigger a summary + action items, allowing you to decide whether to dig in deeper or reclaim your time.

3) Instant call notes A fan favorite. Once you enter an audio chat, you'll now be able to record the call. When done, you'll get a copy of the recording and can either receive a summary or run a custom prompt over the transcript.

4) Separate what's urgent vs. important A cool one to experience. Sometimes you're inundated with notifs, only have 5mins to respond, and don't know which ones are the most critical. Have Tailor read them all and tell you which ones specifically require your answer or action.

Lastly, Tailor is infinitely customizable Our community has already created custom prompts that range from using Tailor as an executive coach requesting how to better communicate to a marketing lead asking for an eng discussion to be explained to her without all the jargon.

We're building the next chapter of communication at Threads, a combination of power, focus, and fun that lets teams reclaim their time and get more done.

Thank you so much for greeting Tailor today. We're excited to see where this goes. Also, our team is growing alongside our metrics, so if any of the above interests you, don't hesitate to reach out!
