why settle on the browser when you can go full desktop

Incredible

Now make a terminal that runs in a browser that runs in a terminal that runs in a browser that runs in a terminal that runs in a br

i could only get as far as a browser running in a terminal running in a browser running in a terminal running in a browser running in a terminal

Perfect

Ask your agent "Make a plan, open it in terminal browser" and it will open an HTML plan in a split pane

terminal-browser is open source, and I share more details about how this was implemented in the readme

Does this work over SSH like ?

it does! (tho terminal-browser trades off FPS for fidelity compared to carbonyl)

Whoa this is sick, was literally thinking recently that I need a better way to run this kind of stuff. I love my cloud browsers, unfortunately Okta and 1P are kinda crucial so I need to run things on a local machine and I'd prefer my agents not use Chrome because I always tab to it

random browser use tasks is one of my favorite use cases, if you try would love to hear your feedback

i love it 😍

what black magic is this???

im also surprised it's possible lol

Super cool. Trying it out with Command Code.

did not think this was possible!

awesome! i tried something similar before: supporting existing terminals and having the browser use cli built-in is awesome!

1992:

Wait till this guy hears about curl

this is actually crazy, i cant wait to use this. going to be so helpful

aye let's go congrats on the launch

Thanks!

Sick

Looks amazing, are you using any image protocol? Would like to try on

wauu this is insanee!!!

Chromium in terminal... Is it supposed to be impressive?

Honestly asking: why?

The fuck?

does it automatically catch local environments started from the terminal eg. npm run dev etc? that would be nice to have.

it doesn't, but that's a good idea

Cool, how about adding webmcp support?

will look into it

You can't be serious

Woah

how is this even possible, actually insane, congrats!

I don't get it the whole point of this is just to see the changes to ur page side by side with the agent? I mean the browser is just a swipe away or even better it's always possible to do split screen ryt? Browser in terminal is cool, but the use case is what im confused about Am i missing something??

this feels huge

That's awesome ! Thank you for sharing

is this better than cmux's webkit browser

pros: - terminal browser is based on chrome, so it has better devtools and agent can debug it better - you can open multiple browser tabs in one terminal-browser pane, vs cmux mixes terminal tabs/browser tabs together - terminal-browser will work in other terminals so you get less lockin to cmux features cons: - cmux's browser has more features

chrome is the biggest thing here (webkit sucks for many many reason) i think users prefer to mix the terminal/browser surfaces because you simply have to memorize the `⌘ + T` (terminal) and `⌘ + ⇧ + L` (browser) keybinds and you're good to go

Wow you remade Links and Browsh, yippee skippy?

the terminal is going from a niche dev tool to something regular people might actually use.

it’s bros first weekend using a computer apparently

woah very cool

useless terminalslop
