The highlighting is backwards: the text should start white and then turn gray once spoken.

This is nice but as a content creator it actually brings another problem it shouldn’t be highlighting what i speak instead the otherway around because too much focus will go on to reading the next word as suppose to de highlighting whatever said. Specifically for camera facing video. Just an ided but great work though!

Oh man this is genius and looks so good! I’ve always dreamt of having something like this but that doesn’t get picked up by screen recorders, so I can record a demo while reading a script and looking at the screen, and the recording only has my screen share in it.

Btw it avoids screen shares! If you share your screen or record, the notch won’t be there!

Just select the display from settings.

Just tested it on my M1 Max. The latency is a lot—I’m almost always a line ahead. It’s still useful as it scrolls by itself based on my reading. I think the highlighting colour should be the other way around. It’d also be nice if the window could be hidden in a screen recording

The window is hidden on screen recording (not QuickTime anyway, it doesn't support hidden windows). I'll work on latency issue!
