I rebuilt everything from scratch with one goal: show off new web APIs I'm excited about. The most obvious one is view transitions. Everything scales and moves with Astro's transition:name property. To quote @fredkschott: what a time to be alive.

The next was spring animations. @argyleink turned me on to the CSS linear() function, which lets you add bounce with zero JS. I packed this into Tailwind classes like "ease-spring-5" so I can sprinkle fun transitions everywhere. learn how it works 👀

@argyleink What about client state? Look ma, no framework! I installed a polyfill for the Signals ECMAscript proposal that made the rounds this year. It's simple and super powerful. Hope it lands in the browser someday 🤞

@argyleink For my blog, I needed a server to track likes and handle newsletter sign-ups. Enter Astro Actions. @joshwcomeau taught me how his like button worked, which led to the Redis-powered solution I shipped. Watch the breakdown 👇

Haha thanks. I wanted to get away from "massive hamburger dropdown." Had few enough links, and it just worked!

This is fantastic work! It's fun, it's original, and it's definitely on brand.
