Kaori Juzu, Craft Prize 2023 finalist, is the first artist to complete a two month residency at La Residencia in Mallorca as part of Artist in Residencia, a new initiative launched in partnership with Belmond. A contemporary goldsmith from Japan, Kaori is based in Bornholm, Denmark, where she explores the boundaries between form and space through the craft of enamel. At La Residencia, Belmond’s hotel on the Balearic island, the artist has researched connections between object, body and environment, inspired by the surrounding landscape. Conceived to further support the alumni of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize, the project continues with the residencies of Craft Prize 2018 finalist Deirdre McLoughlin and Craft Prize 2022 winner Dahye Jeong. #LOEWE

At just sixteen years old, Gray Sorrenti was enlisted for her first major project as a photographer: to capture the hedonistic energy of LOEWE’s Paula’s Ibiza. She packed up her cameras and a suitcase of clothes, rallied a group of friends – her brother included – and headed to her mother’s hometown of New Orleans. The result was the visual diary of a crew of teens exploring bodegas and haunted mansions with a guerrilla approach. What started in Louisiana soon went global and, in the eight years since, Gray has travelled the world with LOEWE, capturing the spirit of Paula’s everywhere from Mexico to Japan (and, of course, Ibiza), on the back of dirt bikes, in the middle of the desert, and on impromptu dance floors… Read the full story, see more behind-the-scenes photographs, and listen to Gray's Paula's Ibiza playlist in a zine tucked inside the new issue of the LOEWE Magazine. #LOEWE
