Nice 🔥

Super cool!!!

Hey Tim, thanks for sharing a demo. Always cool to see the community building. I had few questions: - For those concerned about the potential use of the Dogenet Pup or the DogeBox to create an alternative to POW, what can you share? - In the future, is there a possibility that Gigiwallet could rely on other pups like Dogenet instead of Core? - Are there any specific ports that need to be opened at the router level to operate Core / Node with Dogebox? (Or none because it’s Linux) Much thanks!

Hey sure, - For those concerned about the potential use of the Dogenet Pup or the DogeBox to create an alternative to POW, what can you share? We've been saying for more than 2 years we're exploring various options for Dogecoin, including: - upgrading PoW protocol - what PoS protocol could look like and a dozen other things. Dogenet absolutely delivers a baseline for experimentation, it can be used to try out any new idea, my hope is many devs put it to use ASAP for lots of different reasons, it's entirely project-agnostic being a simple decentralised multi-protocol transport layer. Like I said in the video, I'd love to see people move NFTs and inscriptions to side-chains of Dogecoin to stop filling the main chain with data, Dogenet lets them do that easily right now. I'd say to people concerned about 'alternatives to PoW': You have market pressure you are failing to address, what are you doing about that? Dogecoin is growing in real adoption, to be a real global use currency, lets make PoW a better alternative then. 10x the blockspeed, 10x the block size, deliver the same throughput as at least VISA or Mastercard, or demonstrate a plan that supports Dogecoin as a global currency on L1.. and I don't mean just talk hypotheticals, build something. I am. 2 years ago when I started talking about trying new ideas people got angry and said "you can't force your ideas on us!" .. good, I never said I would. We've always said any protocol upgrades need to be agreed on by the majority of the network, that's how decentralised consensus actually works. That's a major reason we've built the Dogebox, because it takes the 'vote' out of the hands of the current Dogecoin 'technical elite' (I use that term very loosely), and lets every Dogecoin fan run whatever they like. Now there really is a 'vote', the community can choose to run Dogecoin Core, or Bluezr/Ed's SPV Node, or whatever else the community builds, without worrying that what they built ontop will fall over if they change their mind — actual freedom of choice. Anyone upset about this shows they never cared about things being 'fair' at all, they just wanted to keep people in the version of Plato's cave that makes them money. - In the future, is there a possibility that Gigiwallet could rely on other pups like Dogenet instead of Core? Anything is possible? it's just code. GigaWallet should support multi-currency which would be neat, I was speaking with @DaddyCool1991 from LTC Foundation just last night about the idea that GigaWallet could be multi-currency: whatever nodes you run on your Dogebox, that is what your shop could support, ie: LTC, Doge, Eth, BTC.. At that point we've replaced large centralised services like Bitpay with something entirely self-hosted and self-custodial. I think that is really cool and totally aligned with the mission of crypto. - Are there any specific ports that need to be opened at the router level to operate Core / Node with Dogebox? (Or none because it’s Linux) Dogebox automatically manages opening firewall ports on the box for software that you run, it's all specified in the dogebox manifest file that every Pup requires. You will still need to point your Router at the Dogebox for those ports to accept inbound traffic from the internet. Cheers!

I want one

Wowowowowow!

Nice good!!!
