Robinhood Chain could become the next billion-dollar meme ecosystem. The reason is simple Every successful ecosystem in crypto was never built around a single meme coin pumping. It was built around the users, attention, and ecosystem effects that memes created. $BRETT once reached a $2B market cap and became one of the most iconic memes in the Base ecosystem. It helped Base attract massive attention, users, and liquidity. Solana followed a similar path. Over the past few years, meme coins became one of Solana’s strongest user acquisition channels. further proved that speculation can be transformed into massive on-chain user growth. Almost every successful ecosystem has gone through a meme-driven growth phase. And Robinhood Chain happens to have several unique advantages: First, it has Robinhood’s distribution power with tens of millions of traditional finance users. Second, Robinhood is building around RWA and tokenized stocks, which requires bringing more users on-chain. Third, memes could become the lowest-friction entry point connecting traditional finance users with the crypto world. But this isn't an Auchtertool problem - it's a Scottish one. The proposed data centre would need roughly half the power currently used by every home in Scotland combined. Who is paying to build all that extra capacity? It would also swallow huge amounts of water, and take much-needed farming land out of the food chain, which we all rely on. And to be clear - this isn't about being "anti-Al". A data centre like this powers the everyday: your photo storage, your online shopping, and yes, Al too. The question isn't whether we need infrastructure. It's how we build it safely, and sustainably. And how the people of Scotland benefit from it. At this scale, the only obvious winner is the developer. It's not obvious what the tangible benefits are for the people of Scotland. Which one is our priority for securing a digital future for Zimbabwe? The Honourable Speaker's position while providing a clear, logical, and data-informed counter-argument we appreciate his efforts and submission. Let us have a conversation on our priorities in the current Zimbabwean context which we presented yesterday: This is a critical national conversation on our digital future. The proposition of a Google data centre is undoubtedly appealing. Building a centre of Technological Excellence that houses multiple Tech companies and a Start-up Ecosystem is also prudent, though we are calling it a Technology Park. However, I was of the following view which I am willing to be criticised and guided on. The strategic prioritisation of a national ICT Park ecosystem currently is the foundational path to sustainable, sovereign growth and capacity for Zimbabwe. We are reaching out to every province through the Digital Centres, Innovation Hubs at Universities and Colleges. Infrastructure which we need to capacitate better. This is a decentralised system utilising and expanding the infrastructure we have. The central question is not if we want major players like Google; that is not questionable, but when, how and on what terms. Why are we building our own foundation, house, techno park and mini ICT Parks in the provinces and districts? We absolutely need at least a one hyperscale data centre, but centralisation in the current and future environment can be restrictive. This was our plan: 1.The Foundation Before the Skyscraper: Capacity and Traffic We need to increase our national data volumes and internet traffic . Our urgent priority should be upgrading our national backbone, specifically the Optical Fibre on Power Transmission Lines (e.g., Powertel's network from Insukamini to Johannesburg), to peer efficiently with global giants. This builds the foundational "digital highway" we manage. 2.Generating Traffic Through Digitalization A data centre is a response to demand, not a creator of it. We must first drive digitalization aggressively through digital payments, process automation, and e-governance to generate the significant local traffic that would make a data centre viable. Furthermore, we must incorporate Edge Computing strategies to process data closer to the source, a more efficient model for our current needs and in compliance to our Cyber and Data Protection Act which we can amend if need be. Being a regional internet and cybersecurity hub is crucial as the Speaker alluded to me mentioning it to SADC Parliamentary Forum, this is the ultimate goal. 3.PPPs are key to lessen the burden to the fiscus and we are ready to accommodate organisations willing to assist government.(Cont)

Announcing: DePIN Summit Africa in Kenya and Tanzania in July 2025 Hosting DePIN Summit has been one of my favorite highlights of building Escape Velocity over the past few years. DePIN, or Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks, use crypto to scale critical infrastructure like wireless, electricity, or compute in a peer-to-peer manner. By cutting out the middle-man, DePINs provide cheaper and more reliable services than the current incumbents. In other words, DePIN is all about putting power back into the hands of users. 2023's Summit showed that DePIN is a MOVEMENT: for the very first time, 100+ DePIN founders and investors sat in the same room, in Menlo Park, all with a shared vision for the future of what decentralized infrastructure networks will become. 2024's Summit showed that DePIN is INEVITABLE: with more than 350 founders, investors, and operators coming together on a summer Saturday, in NYC, to discuss humanity’s urgent need for digital infrastructure networks that can scale to serve exponentially-growing demand decades in the future. In July 2025, DePIN Summit Africa will show that DePIN is GLOBAL by bringing the community together in Mombasa, Kenya and Zanzibar, Tanzania. We are excited to be collaborating with our on-the-ground partners SHARE and ThreeFold to make the event truly special, bringing together DePIN entrepreneurs and investors from abroad, alongside local industry and government leaders who are eager to understand how DePIN can serve their communities. DePIN has been mostly a US-based phenomenon to date, by almost any metric you can pick: number of projects, total capital raised, etc. A few protocols are bucking the trend and showing how DePIN can serve users in emerging markets: for example, local ISPs in Ghana are using DAWN to provide internet services, one of the largest telcos in Mexico is offloading its customers traffic onto Helium🎈, and grid-scale solar farms in India are mining on Glow Foundation. But by and large, DePIN activity is focused on developed markets, and specifically the US.... DePIN in the US is a huge opportunity, but it’s not the only one! Emerging markets are a different ballgame: the end-user demand for more reliable, performant, scalable digital infrastructure in growing economies is enormous across virtually every sector of DePIN: wireless, energy, compute, sensors, logistics, identity, etc. In East Africa, consumers spend 10-20% of their monthly income on internet service for only 3-4 GB of capacity. The user behaviors, unit economics, and regulatory hurdles are fundamentally different than other markets. With DePIN Summit Africa 2025, we hope to bridge that gap and help plant the seeds for DePIN to expand its reach globally, and specifically into East Africa going forward. They went on a 10-hour Twitter Space and threatened the safety of doctors who had offered their services for free. They made outrageous claims that if the idea worked, I might receive loads of money from the West. I was using my personal money to run the project, yet a CCC MP claimed I was trying to compete with them for donations and deprive them of the money they get from the diaspora. They ran their Twitter Spaces a day before the project’s trial. My personal doctor, Dr Nyasha Maboreke, had put together a team of doctors to provide free services for Zimbabweans over 60, but they sabotaged that after threatening to go to his premises. Today, the elderly people we wanted to help with our own resources are dying without healthcare because of these evil people. Dr Maboreke had offered not only his skills but also the use of his practice for free. He mobilised doctors who were willing to do the same. Sadly, evil prevailed when the safety of those doctors was threatened on Twitter Spaces by these people. I hope they sleep well at night! How do you audit my personal money when I am using it to help ordinary people? Pure evil. Yet hundreds of our people waste time in these useless Twitter Spaces while our citizens walk on top of sewage, hospitals have no medication, 2,500 women die every year giving birth, and the whole country has been without a working radiotherapy machine for three years. But someone chooses to spend 10 hours attacking a journalist who is using his own money to help the needy, poor, and vulnerable! You fight to block a project which was meant to help the brightest young but poor people get scholarships! Sad!
