Introducing the Mentra Bluetooth SDK - control smart glasses directly from your Android/iOS app. Thousands of devs built smart glasses apps. But we heard one common complaint.... the cloud. So we stripped it out and gave you direct glasses control straight from your phone app.

To prove it's real, I made a fully local AI assistant on my Mentra Live glasses, with local AI models doing speech-to-text, LLM vision, and text-to-speech. It sees what I see, answers questions in my ear, and does it all with zero internet connection.

@MentraGlass Getting direct Bluetooth control over smart glasses without an intermediary cloud API is a game changer for low-latency interactions. I'm imagining a lot of real-time AR overlays that just weren't feasible before.

@MentraGlass I called it. Cloud crutches for basic wearable control were overkill. Strip out the backend and devs own device state, security, and compute locally. Same complexity, different owner.
