The order clears the way for aircraft to fly faster than sound, calling for FAA regulation repeals and new noise-based standards. The order advances supersonic research coordination and global regulatory alignment through the National Science and Technology Council. It aims to cut coast-to-coast flight times to under four hours, removing barriers to U.S. dominance in supersonic aviation.
