I love Typeless so much; it's really sped up replying to my DMs. Of course, I'm on iPhone. Hopefully this Android version is just as good—I expect it is.

Awesome! Installed like 12 hours ago. Looks great. Two questions: 1. can it not be a keyboard replacement, but triggered from a floating button? 2. There is no way to upgrade a subscription from my phone; I need to go to the website, right?

Huang Song profil fotoğrafı
Huang Song9 ay önce

1. Regarding your first question: Technically, yes! That’s a really interesting idea; I’ve made a note of it and will definitely look into it further. 2. Regarding your second question: You’re absolutely right. Currently, there isn't a way to upgrade directly from your phone—at the moment, it can only be done through the app. Hope this helps!

Cool! Thanks! And another question, @huang_song_. Typeless does a lot of rephrasing... like, a lot. I like how it formats and improves my messages, but about 40-50% of the time, it drops important words or phrases from the context, which still keeps me from switching from Wispr Flow. Could you please give me some tips on how to avoid that? Or if it's impossible, could you check with the team if it's possible to reduce it or give us some control over the process? Thanks!

Huang Song profil fotoğrafı
Huang Song9 ay önce

That’s a great point. Thank you so much for the feedback; it's a really important insight. We’re actively working on some improvements right now to make sure that when the tool helps compose your sentences and paragraphs, it doesn't leave out any key words or phrases from your original context.

Sounds good. Thanks. Also, the last one for now. The Windows desktop app: please add a setting to start the app minimized to the system tray.

@Scobleizer I use Typeless on my iPhone, and it's a revelation. I've used voice-to-text for most inputs for years, and compared to iOS's built-in option, there's no comparison. Typeless is easily 10/10,I highly recommend it to everyone.

@typelessdotcom I want to use both Gboard and Typeless at the same time now. However, I am unable to switch back to Gboard while using Typeless; why is this? Is there a way to fix this?In this screenshot, Typeless is active. If I want to shift back to Gboard, how should I do it?

Why does a keyboard have to require an account?

@huang_song_ Lmao check the website, the on-device keyboard has a word recognition cap of 4000 words and you'll have to pay for unlimited recognition. What are we doing here bruh🥀🥀🥀

Typing this using Typeless on Android. I have been a Mac user for a long time, and I can say that I have nothing but praise for the team. Also, I have provided detailed feedback to you, Song, in your DM. Please have a look so that you can improve the application even more. And also, I've upvoted Typeless on Product Hunt.

@huang_song_ There's a huge problem with this app. I cannot speak everywhere. I would need to type in some situations. There should be a toggle switch to a favorite typing keyboard, such as Gboard or Samsung Keyboard.

It's really good—I'm using it right now—but you still need to have an option for a pull-up keyboard. Typing a product name or model number is something you often miss, as well as an alphanumeric email address. I usually have to say the letters out one by one

Voice is the right wedge when the output is actually “sendable,” not just a transcript. The adoption hinge is corrections: if edits are faster than typing, people stick; if not, they bounce. Clean positioning here.

Very interesting, thank you. It understands me very good. However, it doesn't replace the full keyboard. Suggestion: can you make it not a keyboard, but an add-on to the keyboard or to the system? I want to use it, but it's not feasible all the time (for example still need the keyboard for passwords, slang, foreign last names,...)

This really highlights how voice is finally catching up to how humans naturally think and communicate. Typeless for Android feels less like a tool and more like an assistant that removes friction. Clean writing from natural speech is a big shift.

Typeless could be very helpful for the mentally disabled and handicapped adults. Giving them more independence and making communication easier in their everyday life. I hope teachers / therapist introduce this app to kids struggling with speech. This would do wonders for them.

Ok. Always wanted something like this but sketched out by Data collection and what not. Checked the page. Saw this: "Private by design - Zero data retention - Never stores or trains on your data - Everything stays local on your device" If this is true (gonna test it) I may have finally found one I'm comfortable with. 🤔🤔🤔

Introducing Typeless for iPhone. -- When the iPhone was introduced, Steve Jobs intentionally removed the physical keyboard. A fixed keyboard couldn't adapt, but a virtual one could - and that decision defined the smartphone era. We believe that wasn't the final step. The virtual keyboard was a transition. Voice is the next generation. -- When we launched Typeless on Mac and Windows, tens of thousands of people resonated with this idea. And the number one request we heard, again and again, was: “Bring Typeless to mobile.” Today, I'm excited to launch Typeless for iPhone. Typeless for iOS is an AI voice keyboard that understands your intent and turns your raw speech into clear, polished, natural writing - effortlessly and in real time. No commands. No formatting tricks. It reads as if you carefully wrote it yourself. -- Core features: Works everywhere - Every app on your iPhone: iMessage, Slack, Mail, Notes, and more AI auto-editing - Removes filler words, fixes grammar, and formats perfectly as you speak Speak to edit - Revise, refine, or rephrase by simply saying what you want to change Whisper mode - Dictate quietly and precisely in low-voice environments 100+ languages - Speak any language (or mix them); Typeless detects and transcribes automatically Personal dictionary - Names, brands, and custom vocabulary learned once, never missed Private by design - Zero data retention. We never store or train on your data. All history stays on your device When input friction disappears on a phone, everything changes. Your iPhone becomes capable of things that once felt impossible - at 10× the speed. This isn't just a new app. It's a new way to use your phone. Welcome to the end of typing. Welcome to Typeless. -- Dictated with Typeless

Today, we're launching Typeless for Linux. Typeless is now available on Mac, Windows, iOS, Android — and Linux. The Linux app brings the full Typeless desktop experience, with all the core features available on Mac. But this launch is about more than adding another platform. For us, every new platform is another step toward a bigger goal: making voice the default way for people to interact with computers — wherever they think, create, and work. For decades, the keyboard has been the default interface between our thoughts and computers. And we've gotten so used to it that we rarely question the friction. Thoughts come fast, messy, and nonlinear. Before you communicate them, you normally have to turn them into sentences in your head first. Then you slow everything down again to type. We built Typeless to remove both layers of friction. With Typeless, you can just think out loud. Follow your thoughts wherever they go. Change your mind halfway through. Add context later. Repeat yourself. Speak imperfectly. Typeless turns that messy stream of thought into clear, polished writing in real time. It removes filler words and repetition, structures your ideas, adapts to your writing style, understands your personal vocabulary, and gives you writing that fits the app you're working in. You can: • Dictate — turn messy thoughts into clear writing, 4x faster than typing • Translate — speak in your language and write naturally in another • Ask anything — use your voice to write from scratch, or select text to edit it, ask questions, and take actions • Build your dictionary — names, acronyms, and specialized terms get recognized correctly • Personalize your style — Typeless learns how you write and adapts to where you're writing • Speak 100+ languages — including naturally mixing languages while you talk And it's private by design. Linux users tend to be some of the people who spend the most time interacting deeply with computers. Developers. Engineers. Researchers. Builders. They should be able to use voice as naturally on Linux as anywhere else. Our long-term belief is simple: Voice will become the default way people interact with computers. Not because speaking is merely faster than typing. But because voice gives us a way to communicate with computers much closer to the speed and form in which thoughts actually happen. To us, that's what real freedom in computing looks like: expressing what you mean without adapting how you think. And for that future to happen, it can't belong to one device, one operating system, or one workflow. It has to be available wherever you work. Linux. Mac. Windows. iOS. Android. One interface, wherever you work. Typeless for Linux is here.
