han tenshin geri (Shorinji Kempo techniques) "han tenshin geri" is a technique used to counter when the opponent kicks the midsection with the opposite leg. Instead of blocking the opponent's kick with your hand, it is important to quickly evade using "han tenshin" Additionally, counterattack with "tai no sen" before the opponent's kick touches the ground. After counterattacking, step back to a position out of the opponent's reach. When performing "renhanko" anticipate two scenarios: one where the opponent's kicking leg lands forward and another where it is pulled back.
