This World Cup has shown how Argentinian players are just built different, and it was interesting because, in the press conferences, both managers addressed this. First, Tuchel talks about the Argentinian value of the ball and how they protect the ball at all costs, how they manage those small spaces, and how they learn this from a young age. He references culture, and this is exactly it. A child playing in a certain environment leads to that. Not every Argentinian child is on the national team, but it raises the ceiling. It creates a certain type of style and a certain type of player. Then Scaloni also references his culture. He sees them play without fear of losing. It comes from playing in an environment where you are constantly faced with the potential of losing and being able to play with that pressure, right? They don’t fight against it. They play with it. They use it. And I think this is where youth football coaches should really take note. This does not mean we should copy and paste Argentinian culture into every training environment, because culture cannot just be copied. But the values within that culture can be inculcated in every training environment. The value of the ball. The courage to receive it in small spaces. The ability to protect it under pressure. The confidence to keep playing after a mistake. The willingness to play with the possibility of losing rather than constantly trying to avoid it. Those values can become part of the environment we create every day. They can be present in the games we design, in what we praise, in what we allow players to struggle with, and in how we respond when they lose the ball. If every mistake leads to the coach stopping the session, giving the answer, or taking the pressure away, then players never learn to play with that pressure. They learn to wait for the coach. It was cool to see how two managers, at such a big stage, reference culture and the environments that kids play in when they’re young. They were created by environments that taught them what to value, how to relate to the ball, and how to play when there was something to lose.

At one point, they seriously entertain the “political theory of Yahya Sinwar” and go so far as to say that “we are so dependent on it today.” That alone should be disqualifying in any serious academic setting. But it does not stop there. Aviña leans directly into the idea that violence is not merely historically contingent or analytically understandable, but a moral right. He frames it in explicit terms, asking whether people have a “natural right to resist tyranny via armed struggle.” That is not detached scholarship or theoretical exploration. It is a moral endorsement of violence as a necessary political tool in a capitalist and “colonized” world. It is also worth noting that his academic expertise touches guerrilla insurgency movements in Latin America. Then comes the part that should really make people pause. For the last 2 weeks I went on a road trip to MA, NH, VT & a couple cities in Canada. What I witnessed was the exact opposite of what’s happening in LA/California -Nearly 0 homeless visible -Clean/safe streets -Beautiful, inviting public spaces (not defaced) -NO empty stores -No burned down cities Splash pads that children could safely use because they weren’t being used as a toilet/shower by homeless. Public transit that you can ride without fear of being killed or mugged or injured. Retail centers bustling with people. No trash outside of actual trash cans. Street festivals that run into the night in urban areas. See my video of a PUBLIC space in Montreal - GORGEOUS spaces, luxury seating (for anyone to use!), not a scratch. Pristine. Beautiful. No bums loitering, shooting up, taking a dump in public, assaulting people or blocking entrances to stores. My kids were in SHOCK! “How’s this possible?!” they would repeatedly ask. I had to tell them. This is what I remember about California from my childhood. We used to have it. And they’re GASLIGHTING us into thinking it’s impossible. That the world has changed. NO Gavin Newsom the world has NOT changed. YOU and your criminal cronies have DESTROYED this great place. Nowhere else in the planet has experienced such rapid and monumental decline. YOU OWN THIS. Can we have what others have? Absolutely. Vote ALL of them out and replace them with people who actually give a damn. And don’t blindly trust an “R” — if they’re corrupt (in bed with developers or other scammers) stay away. We need good HONEST people in office. Enough is enough.

There is a reason why Yang's play is unpredictable for opponents. I analyzed his play in this scene as follows✍️ 1. After receiving the ball, he intentionally stopped the movement of body(This skill is "pausa" that Neymar and Mitoma often do, and some clubs in La Liga train this skill.), and pausa is used to give teammates choices of running or create space. 2. Pay attention to Yang's body orientation. By pretending to dribl towards box, of course opponent's defenders were wary of him dribbling towards box. He tried to dribble like that many times during the game, so defenders had to mark him in this scene as well. 3. After checking that the two players moved to mark him, he sent pass to AJ in great timming. This allowed AJ to be free from pressure of opponent's defender and send good quality cross. Yang has been playing well with using this skill since before he joined Celtic, so if he can maintain his best condition and communicate with teammates on the pitch, he will be even more important player at Celtic. Crimson Desert previews are here and overall, content creators are impressed with the game: - Open world is gorgeous, the game ran remarkably well on this PC build with no FPS drops (7900XTX GPU), the draw distance is insane - Crimson Desert does not hold your hand, there are genuinely difficult puzzles and no yellow paint to guide you, with a ton of mechanics in combat and exploration that all come together and are up to the player to use - Every single questline's cutscenes are motion captured and animated, it does not use generic animations (at least for main quests) - MMO roots from Black Desert are obvious, the skill tree is deeply involved and each build feels entirely unique - Combat is reportedly "really good" with a ton of complex mechanics and great animations - NPCs don't have schedules like a Kingdom Come 2 or Skyrim, they are mostly static but they will react to your actions and there is a full crimes system that you can mess with - You can set arrows on fires by aiming towards any source of fire then shooting, this is used in environmental puzzles. Another way to set things on fire is by pressing down both bumpers which causes Kliff to hold up his sword to reflect the sun's light onto things to set them on fire - Quest givers will contact you by sending a bird with a letter, this will happen naturally in the open world - Exploration is fantastic, each location is entirely unique and you can utilize all the different abilities in unique ways, for example you can launch yourself across a wall OR use a dragon to fly in OR climb it - Boss fights are very advanced, each one is unique with their design and movesets - Side Quests and Random Events are fun, some are as small as rescuing a cat from a rooftop, others are more major storylines - Some quest bugs were seen, but no optimization issues, when they were switched to an Endgame save, many reported a higher number of bugs and glitches but nothing game-breaking. - There are combat finishers and they are unique for each weapon type - Combos are available and they are unique for every single weapon type, there are many button combinations to apply these in combat - Some content creators complained that the puzzles were too confusing as they utilize a very specific ability at times and its hard to keep track of all the abilities that you have - You can buy food or cook it, or hunt and sell that meat - Content creators all loved it, they played 6+ hours and had fun, saying that they just want to play more afterwards - Controls however are described as complex and may be clunky as there are a many button combinations for unique actions It seems like Crimson Desert is shaping up to be a genuinely great game, we are yet to see console footage but if the amazing optimization for PC is anything to go by, we likely have little to worry about.
