Nah, I wouldn’t call it "killing" the knee. You just "locked" the knee in a kinematically favourable position that keeps the gait controllable. Go ahead and kill the torso or hip actuators if you dare 😂

hobbling around after losing three actuators sounds less like safety and more like a glitch waiting to happen i'd bet my gpu that the real failure mode kicks in once it tries to climb stairs

Why are we overcomplicating these things with legs and all the requirements to maintain balance on two legs, walking, shifting and on surfaces that are smooth enough for casters? I've seen other ones with a weighted base on wheels that would be so much more efficient
