Introducing Magnitude: your actually local agent 100% private and offline. No token costs, no API keys. Open source. Today's agents are local. The model isn't. Every prompt, every file, every secret gets sent straight to Anthropic and OpenAI. Magnitude is built around local models and runs the whole stack itself. The inference engine is part of the agent, so the models run inside it, right on your computer. It lives in your terminal, and setup is one command. Magnitude profiles your hardware and shows you which models fit, with the trade-offs between quality, speed, and memory. Pick one and start working. No painful config or server to babysit. Out of the box, it can use your shell, edit files, and run scripts. Add skills and it can work with Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs or Chrome. Use it for everyday work: - Analyze sensitive data - Manage private notes - Review code and logs - Search and organize files - Build docs or slides npm i -g @magnitudedev/cli GitHub:

Introducing Ollama fully Integrated into VSCode with CodeGPT Now you can download open-source models from ollama with a single click and install them as code assistants in VSCode. In this case, I download the qwen2:0.5b (Qwen) model in under a minute, and it becomes fully functional with just one click. The era of locally running code assistants has begun! 🚀

I pay for Muse Code but didn't want to live in a terminal. On Windows it's WSL-only. So I built Helicon: an open-source desktop app for the actual Muse CLI. • uses your existing muse login, no API key • talks to muse serve over MSP, so Muse stays the agent • resumes sessions you started in the terminal • projects, diffs, approvals, cost in one window • signed Windows installer + universal macOS build Same harness. Real UI. Unofficial, not affiliated with Meta.

This robot assistant from the NVIDIA CES Keynote on Monday is going viral. Nader Khalil🍊 explains all the hottest emerging AI trends in one demo: AI applications in 2026 will be multi-model, multi-modal, hybrid cloud/local, use open source models as well as proprietary models, control robots and embedded devices in the physical world, and have voice interfaces. (And the demo had a cute robot *and* a cute dog. Gold.) The demo was built with Pipecat AI. NVIDIA posted a really nice technical walk-through and complete code. The Reachy Mini robot from Hugging Face is open source hardware. (You can order it now, I have one!). You can run the assistant locally on your own hardware, in the cloud, or both.

"just buy a bigger gpu" isn't the only answer to a model too big for one machine. mesh-llm turns every device on your network into one openai-compatible api. no cloud bill. no single point of failure. no manual load balancing. the routing is simple: request > mesh checks local vram > free slot? run it : route to peer > model too big for one box? split across peers as layer stages works as a drop-in backend for goose, claude code, opencode, and pi.

Xiaomi just dropped a FREE CLAUDE CODE with memory that actually persists between sessions and nobody is talking about it MiMo Code dropped 4 days ago. 8k GitHub stars. Built-in free model called MiMo Auto - you just install it and it works, zero configuration, zero API keys What's inside: > persistent memory across sessions - agent picks up exactly where it stopped > subagents that spawn automatically and run in parallel > /dream extracts knowledge from your session into project memory > /distill turns your repeated workflows into reusable skills > /goal with a judge model that decides if the work is actually done - not just if the agent thinks it is How to install: > Mac / Linux: curl -fsSL | bash > Windows npm install -g MIMO-ai/cli Then run: > mimo video of me installing and running it is attached github(.)com/XiaomiMiMo/MiMo-Code

Best implementation of minecraft ever seen by any ai model till date for one shot What actually surprised me: >zero external assets (no .png textures, no models) >working block place + break with hit feedback >procedural textures drawn in code, not loaded Arena link in reply to verify by yourself

Run your coding agent on a local model, with QVAC. OpenCode now plugs into a model on your own machine through our official plugin. That changes two things. Privacy by default. Your repo, your prompts, and every command the agent runs stay on your device. No third-party model ever sees your code. For an agent that reads your codebase and runs commands, that is the point, not a nice-to-have. New workflows. With no meter and no rate limit, the agent does not have to stop. Let it loop on a task, refactor a whole repo overnight, or run a watch-build-fix loop that keeps going. Setup takes a few minutes: one line in opencode.json and OpenCode runs on a local QVAC model. In the video demo, it handles three real developer tasks back to back, fully offline.

This is f*cking Dangerous Cline opened Gemini 3.8 Flash, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, and three more for free no API key, right inside VS Code and your terminal pick a free model from the dropdown and start coding, debugging, and running terminal commands without ever touching a billing page what it does: - code, debug, and run terminal commands from one editor panel - switch between 5 models mid-session without editing a single config file - rotate models when one hits its context wall or slows down setup (under 1 min): step 1: go to step 2: install the VS Code extension or open the web version email sign-up, no card, no billing step 3: open Model Picker and select any model marked "Free" start coding important: > Gemini 3.8 Flash, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, MiMo-V2.6-Flash, Space Bunny Alpha, Muse Spark 1.3 > no API key, no billing just log in and pick > free tiers like this rarely stick around, grab it while it's up

If you're evaluating AI IDEs this week, here's what getting started with Windsurf (retired) looks like (links below): • Download and install from Import any existing IDE settings during onboarding, or start fresh. • Cascade is the agent panel on the right. Chat, generate, edit, run code. @-mention files, symbols, or docs to scope context. • Choose your model - Opus, Codex, SWE, Kimi, GLM and more (Kimi K2.6 is free for the next 2 weeks 👀) • DeepWiki: Cmd+Shift+Click any symbol for an in-depth explanation of what it does. Send it to Cascade with one click. • Codemaps: hierarchical view of how files and functions execute together. Click a node to jump to code. Shareable as links. • Devin in Windsurf: start and manage cloud sessions without leaving the editor. • Agent Command Center: Kanban board of every running agent, local (Cascade) and cloud (Devin). See what's in flight, blocked, or ready for review. • Spaces: group sessions, PRs, files, and context for one task or project into a single view. • Centralized review: handle diffs, PRs, and agent output in one place. • MCP servers, Memories, and Workflows extend Cascade. Set them up once; reuse across projects.

Hermes can now log itself into websites without ever seeing your password. That’s a pretty big upgrade for browser automation. Real Profile already let Hermes use websites you were already signed into. This handles the other case: You’re not logged in yet. Hermes can now securely pull the login from: • Hermes’ encrypted local vault • 1Password • Bitwarden Then fill the credentials and sign in without exposing the raw password to the model or conversation. And it doesn’t stop when 2FA shows up. If your saved login has an authenticator key, Hermes can generate and enter the code automatically. If the site sends you a verification code by text, email, or app, Hermes gives you a secure prompt to enter it there instead of putting it in chat. The code never enters the conversation or model context. Passkeys, hardware keys, and approval taps still stay with you. Hermes waits for you to complete that step, then continues. So browser automation can now go from: “Please sign in” to actually getting through the login and continuing the workflow. Without handing your password or 2FA code directly to the model.

NVIDIA built the best free AI API platform and nobody's talking about it. 100+ models and no credit card need and best thing is credits don't expire. Meta, Google, DeepSeek, Microsoft all in one place. I was looking for a free reasoning model API for a project and everything was paywalled. Then I found → Pick your model (chat, code, vision, reasoning it's all there) → Click "View Code" → Generate API key → Drop it in your project OpenAI-compatible endpoints with zero billing setup.

There's a free 120 billion parameter AI you can run on your own computer. Zero internet. Zero API costs. Zero monthly fees. It's called Nvidia Nemotron 3 Super. And it just changed what solopreneurs can do with AI agents. Here's the setup: → Download Ollama. Copy one command into your terminal. → Connect it to OpenClaw in under 10 minutes. → Your AI agent now runs 24/7 on WhatsApp, Discord, or Telegram. → It answers customers, runs tasks, and manages workflows while you sleep. → 256,000 token context window. It reads entire documents without forgetting. No subscriptions. No cloud. No one else touching your data. A full AI employee stack for $0. Save this. Set it up this weekend.

HERMES JUST GOT A CHATGPT INTERFACE AND IT IS COMPLETELY FREE. No terminal. No command line. No technical setup that takes half a day to figure out. Here is what just became possible. You can now run Hermes, DeepSeek, Ollama, and OpenClaw from a single clean chat interface. Switch between them in one click. Upload files directly. Attach knowledge bases and notes. Preview code without touching the terminal once. Use it on mobile. Make voice and video calls. All of it. Free. Open source. The setup took one conversation with Hermes itself. Pasted the GitHub link in. Hermes installed Open Web UI in Docker on its own. Connected the API server and gateway automatically. A clean ChatGPT-level interface running entirely on local hardware was live in minutes. No subscription. No data leaving your machine. No API bill at the end of the month. The people who set this up this weekend will have a local AI stack that rivals what most companies are paying $2,000 a month for in cloud infrastructure. The people who wait will keep paying for tools that send their data somewhere they cannot see. Both tools are free. Both are open source. The only thing between you and this setup is the next 30 minutes. Follow CyrilXBT for the exact config, setup steps, and local AI workflows I use to run a full stack without spending a dollar on cloud inference.

Today we’re launching Design Canvas for AI agents. AI can build a feature, but every "design tweak" turns into another prompt. We built a drag & drop editor for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex to explore and iterate on your UI, so you get the best design by default. No endless prompting. Ship better designs in code with Subframe.
