To go from thinking I would suicide in medical school and residency to presenting at The American Psychiatric Association National Conference (American Psychiatric Association) in Los Angeles as a Black, queer physician with lived mental health and illness experience means everything. Update on Dr. Han’s Health Condition: Dr. Han returned to the detention center on Saturday following the suspension of execution. On Sunday afternoon, she experienced a severe nosebleed in the restroom at the detention facility. As it was Sunday, the medical officer at the detention center was off duty.
