The Government claims there is an independent inquiry into the NESO allegations. However, NESO management are setting the terms themselves, and it will not look into whether security standards were breached. Crucially, control room operators not selected by NESO management will also have to make themselves known to NESO managers to give evidence. Remarkably, senior NESO managers already told staff that the whistleblowers 'let down' the company and that the allegations are not true. This is troubling. Everyone agrees we need a truly independent and impartial investigation. This must be rectified, anonymity must be granted, and their concerns must be heard.
