"invincible is weak." there's a big difference between being weak and holding back out of fear of killing. this show itself literally addresses this with omni-man scolding mark for holding back.

Another big misconception I keep seeing is people explaining it away by saying "he's young and a half Viltrumite" did y'all not see mark beating the hell outta this bitch with the braid? He almost came close to killing her. age and genetics ain't the problem.

Mark is like Gohan. He doesn’t have his father’s species innate bloodlust or callousness to life. If he did, Mark will be stacking bodies on Earth after every fight. He prefers not to in order to keep his humanity

It's like Spider-Man We know Pete's strong as HELL but we also know (thanks to the time Doc-ock swapped him and Peter's bodies) he was always holding back his TRUE strength because if he didn't he'd be ANNIHILATING people.

@TheHumorousLman It's the Spider-Man problem. People think Spider-Man is a lot weaker than he is as well for the same reason, then think any time he actually shows out is an "asspull". Part of why they periodically have to remind readers what he's capable of when he doesn't hold back.

People who only watch the show see him as weak. As someone who isn't a poser, the comics explain his power. He holds back. Also, plot elements aside, his bloodline plays a factor. Lastly, near the end of the book he gets a legitimate Zenki-boost that will visually show he's the strongest at that point.

I mean it’s also that not all viltrumites are the same level of strength. Mark is getting stronger with each fight because he’s pushing himself. Part of it is that mark pulls his punches so he doesn’t kill anyone but that doesn’t make him weak by any means.

Also the fact he just got his powers like he just learned the basics from his dad why is everyone acting like he’s been stronger since he was a kid he was like everyone else until his alien genes literally kicked in and made him strong i actually fear how strong he’s gonna get

Invincible isn't weak. Invincible is sorry. When Mark fights people stronger than him, he gets his whooped because he's weaker. When Mark fights people weaker than him, he still gets whooped because he never goes all out. He's bordering Vegeta/Renji levels of The Worf Effect.

Mark is pretty strong against any other enemies (except battle beast) but compared to full blooded viltrumites that only get stroner as they get older he does come up short. Mentally holding himself back plus not pushing himself and not training really is hurting him

Mark constantly fights people 10x stronger than him and would rather die than surrender. He's not called Invincible because he can't get hurt, he's called Invincible because his spirit never breaks. Show watchers are so incredibly impatient and ignorant.

I need folks to read the comics because they are really determined to misunderstand this whole series and it’s driving me crazy.

This is literally the only time where Mark didn’t get his ass completely wrecked though, and he still had to be saved by someone else in the end. I love the show and get the idea is that Mark is more human than Viltrumite, but it’s getting boring to just constantly see the main character get his teeth kicked in. Give him some balls finally.

Not only that, but Viltrumites get stronger as they age and most of these adult Viltrumites are HUNDREDS of years old. The fact Mark is able to go toe to toe with these adult Viltrumites already shows he’s ridiculously strong for his age.
