Honestly, what's the point of buying a foldable phone with twice the screen size just to watch movies on half the screen?

Samsung ditched flex mode because almost nobody uses it. It's still available on Z Fold 8 Ultra though

I use flex mode since Fold 7 a few time then never use it anymore as it's not practical for real tasks. - Half of screen is too small to watch - Half of screen is too small to type/control Totally useless for me.

Why would I fold my screen for watching something when I've a bigger screen in front of me? And if I did want to watch it in a smaller screen, I don't need to open up and just use the outer display🤦

That's a ridiculous video. The same thing happens with Samsung. There's a setting for it. If you enable it, the video plays like it does on the Duo.

Just turn over use it in tent mode. Flex mode is pointless for this.

That's only because (annoyingly enough and the reason I got the ultra) the normal 8 doesn't have flex mode. The ultra does, but the 8 ultra flex mode isn't as good as the fold 5

I hope there’s a ultra model next year because no flex hinge and no privacy mode oh and the speakers on the same side were enough to talk me out of it

Remember these foldables have a screen that size outside so using it like that is just foolish

The Folld 8 does not have flex mode the ultra does.

Not only this many apps are not optimised for Fold 8, expecially Tesla app, which is optimised for duo from day 1 still not optimised for Fold 8. Samsung should really look into the app support if they want to compete long term with duo..
