This was in 2022, when the IPOB Head Of Directorates, Mazi Chika Edoziem announced unambiguously that Mr Simon Ekpa was never an IPOB member, and will never be one as he lacks 'criteria' to become a family member of the IPOB movement. He said he is allowed to pursue Biafra if he so wishes, however his actions must not be attributed to the IPOB movement. This is to address the misinformations flying around after the alleged arrest and covert prosecution by the Finnish Authorities. IPOB cannot be held responsible for the actions of Simon Ekpa when he was never a member of the movement and infact was actually sabotaging the IPOB movement.
