Marli looked great tonight. Doesn’t tend to get mentioned when our defensive depth is talked about but when he’s paired next to a Gabriel/Konsa he looks full of confidence. Will be interesting to see how he develops physically in the next couple of years.

5th best player Salmon? I would have put him 2nd. Ok we conceded 2 goals but I thought at 16 he marshalled most of that game and was technical when needed and physical when needed. Sian Fleming is a tough striker to come up against

Gabriel, MLs and Zubi was all way better than Salmon lol. Salmon had difficulty defensively. He is kinda weak and slow

I think arteta and merino pointed out yesterday that max's defensive work isn't there yet. Let them work on it. When he's ready in that side, he'll play. Mik hinted that you can't have any defensive passengers in the prem like other leagues

Bruno looked rusty with some if his passing. Merino was superb through out and along with Noni and Max were the top3 player
