Mohsen Rezaee, a member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council and former IRGC commander, issued a direct warning to Washington and Tel Aviv. If residential areas in Iran continue to be targeted, the response will shift to full reciprocity. Rezaee reminded them that Iran has already lived through the “War of the Cities” during the Iran–Iraq conflict, when missiles struck Dezful, Ahvaz, and Tehran. When permission finally came to respond, the strikes went city for city. His message now is clear: Iran knows those tactics and is prepared to use them again if attacks on civilians continue.

Former IRGC commander Mohsen Rezaee: “Mr. Trump, if the U.S. targets Iran’s infrastructure, it will no longer be ‘an eye for an eye’ but ‘a head for an eye’ – you will drown in the Persian Gulf; war will continue until reparations are paid and sanctions lifted.”

Former IRGC head Mohsen Rezaee, who is now the top military advisor to Supreme Leader, 8 years ago: “If the US attacks us, in the first week we will take 1,000 American soldiers as prisoners, and demand $1B for the release of each. This will also solve our economic problems.” 🤣

Iran states the war will continue until it receives compensation for damages, sanctions relief, and guarantees of US non-interference, according to Member of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran Mohsen Rezaei. The earlier demand to remove US bases from the Middle East no longer appears among the conditions. #Iran

I said the Iran-US war appears to have entered a third phase: a “war of infrastructure.” Tehran has warned that it is shifting its military strategy from proportional retaliation towards a broader and more destructive campaign. A former Revolutionary Guards commander and military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, says the policy of pursuing “war and negotiations at the same time” is over. “If the Americans continue the war over the next two or three days, we will enter a phase of full-scale offensive and destruction,” he said. “We will no longer be satisfied with proportional retaliation," Mohsen Rezaei has said. Ordinary Iranians and people across the region will bear the brunt of this phase of the war. Mark Lowen

Senior Iranian official Mohsen Rezaee to CNN: If Trump takes the negotiations seriously, $24 billion is not much to America. If he wants to reach an agreement with Iran, this $24 billion is a test of trust that Iran wants to have with Trump. This is a test that America must pass, and the path will be open. This is our money, not America's money.

Senior Iranian official Mohsen Rezaee: If U.S. attacks continue over the next two to three days, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will move beyond the stage of deterrence and retaliation and enter the phase of “offense and complete destruction,” such that U.S. bases and soldiers beyond political borders will be pursued and directly targeted. The United States should know that the attritional strategy of “war and negotiation” has reached a dead end, and in the coming days, the intensity of Iran’s attacks will increase.
