Senator Elizabeth Warren: "I just left a classified briefing on Iran, and here's what I can say. It is so much worse than you thought. You are right to be worried. Trump administration has no plan in Iran. This illegal war is based on lies, and it was launched without any imminent threat to our nation. Donald Trump still hasn't given a single clear reason for this war, and he seems to have no plan for how to end it either. Like a lot of you, I am really angry. I am angry at what Donald Trump is doing, and I feel grief for those already killed in this unnecessary conflict. And I will keep doing everything I can to fight to end this war."

The Trump Administration started this war without Congressional authorization and without an exit strategy. Make no mistake – I am firmly committed to ensuring Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon and the Iranian people deserve better than Ayatollah Khamenei, a ruthless dictator who killed thousands of innocent Iranians. But a draft-dodging President and a Secretary of War who knows more about botox than bombs have now gotten us into this war without a clear plan for what happens next. By voting against the War Powers Resolution yesterday – Mike Lawler has failed the people of NY-17 and America. That action would have forced this Administration to develop clear objectives for the way forward before conducting further military action. 6 American servicemembers have been killed and there is still no clear plan to end this conflict. American servicemembers and the American people deserve better.

Rushing Ukraine into the EU? That’s Brussels’ plan, not ours. They want to admit a country with: ❌ no clear borders ❌ no functioning economy ❌ no sovereignty And they expect EU taxpayers to fund a million-strong army for decades. This is not peace. It’s a blank cheque for endless war.

I don’t know many Americans who are looking for another war. If this is the plan, the Administration needs to be clear about the goals and the plan with the American people.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 No clear objectives. No diplomatic path. No plan for what comes after. Fmr. U.S. Saudi Ambassador Chas Freeman suggested the U.S. has become entangled in a regional war it has no business being in. "This is a war with no strategy other than that of Israel and Iran. They both have strategies, and we don't."

Rep. Ted Lieu: "The focus of the Trump administration is completely misplaced. They have no plan for the day after for Venezuela. There's no specific plan as to how they're going to get to a democracy. And the person they're backing right now, Delcy Rodriguez, is the handpicked VP of Maduro. They have the same repressive regime in place right now."

Donald Trump and his administration treat war with Iran like a game. They have no plan, and they are not taking the lives of our sons and daughters and grandkids seriously. I will not stop pushing in the Senate to end Trump’s war.

I have no love lost for the Iranian government, who killed people I know when I served in Iraq. But to go into a war with no plan, no clear objectives – after the last 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan – is just malpractice.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret: the Trump Administration is using classified briefings as an excuse to hide the truth from you. They don't have a plan for this war. They don't have a plan to lower your costs. They just don't want to admit it publicly.

WELKER: Is hope the plan for the future of Iran? GRAHAM: Our goal is to make sure Iran cannot become again the largest state sponsor of terrorism. WELKER: Does the president have a plan to guarantee that happens? GRAHAM: No. It's not his job. So, yes. Trump plan is hope.

The choice in this election is clear: Rishi Sunak will take bold action to stop the boats. Keir Starmer would end the Rwanda scheme. Only the Conservatives have a clear plan to deliver a secure future for your family.
