And they could not claim that we requested negotiations and the Islamic Republic did not accept. We also negotiated so that it would be clear that the truth was with us, so that ultimate proof would be established for the whole world. Our own people would also understand that it wasn't the Islamic Republic that caused the war by refraining from negotiations. Because there was a question: if we hadn't negotiated and a war had broken out, everyone might have thought to themselves that if we had negotiated, the war wouldn't have happened.

The content of the negotiations will not be disclosed, but there were a number of things that were unacceptable for the Ukrainian side, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said. "President Zelenskyy said openly that he is ready for a direct negotiation with Putin. We understand that if we want to make progress, we need to have this meeting of leaders, including on the ceasefire," he said during the press conference following Russia-Ukraine-Türkiye peace talks.

It’s funny that you think this is about Rohit’s identity. It’s not. Here’s what actually happened: 1. Prz Ibu publicly said there were no military facilities in UTF. He even said he would use “Ebunaa UTF” to give land plots (“goathi”) to people and invited everyone to go and see for themselves. He claimed there was no military presence there and half of the country believed it 2. So we went there. We were stopped, because the site was under MNDF control and a military facility was being developed in UTF. 3. So what was the ‘irrefutable evidence’ about ? Ibu said there was no military establishment. We proved there was. Before we went, MDP supporters and their SM accounts kept saying there were no military structures in UTF and it would be used for giving land. After that day, nobody, including the government, denied the presence of a military facility there anymore. 4. You don’t have to ask me now if UTF is a military establishment because govt’s have since then openly admitted to it. In fact both the Maldivian and Indian governments have since acknowledged this in official documents too. So yes, the evidence was irrefutable because it proved exactly what was being denied, that a military base was indeed being developed at UTF. Had we not done that on that day, half of the nation probably would continue to believe, as ibu said, that there arent no military establishments in UTF

Adel Ferdowsipour's initial reaction to Iran's elimination: Clouds and wind and moon and sun and fate and the post and offsides all came together so that we were eliminated from the competition. But was our presence in a 48 team World Cup an accomplishment? We've previously said this - no. We have the history of being present in World Cups that Asia had just half a slot. And we went there and were present. Is that we were not able to be one of the 32 qualifying teams and get out of our group considered a defeat? A failure, a defeat, whatever we want to call it? Yes. It would be considered. That we did not establish a clear vision for the continuation of our country's football, that we do not have a young team, in six months the Asian Cup will be held, in four years the World Cup will be held, and we have not established any clear vision ... we've talked about this multiple times ... but there was no one listening. Our team came to these matches as one of the oldest teams and ultimately was eliminated from the competition. Did we have the necessary boldness to advance from our group? In my view - no. Could we have played better? Certainly yes. That we did not with the 4 points that they had repeatedly promised and said we will get at least 4 points and definitely advance and this will happen and that will happen ... is this considered a failure? Yes. But - Let's look at the other side of the issue too. Did we not have bad luck? We had a lot of bad luck! The events that happened, like the Austria - Algeria game was the pinnacle ... meaning the events of the games and things that happened lined up in a way that we ultimately do not advance. That in the last few games every single thing that shouldn't have happened did so one after another so we get eliminated ... did we have any luck in this angle? No. But couldn't we have had our fate in our own hands? Could we have played bolder?
